isn't the guy from weezer (no idea what his name is) supposed to have 'studied' noel gallaghers song writing and have a book full of formulas that he's figured out from oasis songs? you either have it or you don't mate  |

The "formula" isn't really all that hard...simple chord progressions that usually start with G, C, or F, a simple Verse-bridge-chorus-verse-bridge-chorus layout for the song, and 8-bar intros...typically oasis songs follow this "formula" and so do weezer ones

But here's the real question....
Will Rolling Stone have Oasis don the cover in the next couple of weeks? I highly doubt it but you never know..we could have Oasis/Coldplay back to covers if Rolling Stone is smart.

Rviers Cuomo has this book that he has put together called the Encyclopedia of Music.
Within that book he has all of the music of
Green Day, Oasis, and I can not recall the third.
New Weezer song is terrible.
Rolling Stone, Spin and the rest of the American music mags are fucking awful. Wipe your ass with them.
They used to want to set the trend, now they folllow all the fucking stupid kids who listen to shiit music.

Related thought: ~I don't think Americans appreciate Oasis and their history and impact (in England, )what they meant and still mean to people... The critics fail to respect them as well... ~Many AMERICANS totally miss the point of Oasis i.e. Liam doesn't dive into crowd, dance around much, etcetc. we all know this... (How cld he , he's not up their lip syncing , he's got that VOICE to project doesn't he ??) They are all about the music. Noel and Liam say things like this repeatedly and still no one listens.. People just don;t get it ... it's a pity for them isn;t it ? ~Lastly, remember what Noel said "Oasis are WAY TOO IMPORTANT for the American music industry - a "Circus"he called it (when he saif that he MEANT IT) ~ Americans are NOT as loyal as other countries in terms of being FANS (I lived abroad and noted this right away) Americans just consume things, like the music market, they know the price of everything and the VALUE of nothing.. It still really pisses me off about the US music industry expecting Oasis to "come and take America !" AND other groups calling them lazy, EXCUSE ME ?
Everytime Noel and Liam bash the industry it makes me like them even MORE !
