Before I answer it, I'll have to say that I wait until the release day. But, if someone feels that he cannot wait and want's to listen the next chance he can, then he could listen to it.
I don't judge it, though I think that the freshness of buying at the day of release is far more entertaining and exciting. What fun is it to hear the album so far before the release?

I'm waiting. I didn't wait for Heathen Chemistry, and I wan't that feeling back of going to Virgin Records and buying it. Then coming home and cracking some beers listening to it. Sitting in front of my computer won't do it justice.

True fans wait till proper release dates to listen to albums!!!!! Agree? Reasons Why? Support This? Who's With Me? true fans are true fans... no matter if they wait until the release or download as soon as leaked, as long as they buy it after of course ;D and don't think I'm just another guy that downloaded the songs and is trying to justify himself.

You can't question what a true fan is. I'd be hypocritcal to put down anyone for downloading the new songs in advance of release. I've done it many times before. We're all fans on this board, we all just have different ways of experiencing moments from Oasis.

i guess the word "true" set people off there. i didnt mean to knock people down for d/l, i personally dont care as long as people buy the album. The feeling of hearing the album for the first time is what I love, it tales me back to the feeling of hearing oasis for the first time.

i'm gona dowload it because i'm a cheapo. oasis already have enough money and the few quid of my cd won't hurt them.

im waiting for may 31st
reasons? not entirely sure, i just dont feel fully comfortable doing so. possible reasons are that
a) it was intended by the band to be released then, so im gonna respect that. as far as i've read, oasis arent big fans of havign their songs and albums leaked, and by downloading songs that have leaked its encouraging mroe ppl in the future to keep on leaking songs. whole demand and supply deal
b)its irrational, but its just ruining a nice suprise. another analogy: its like opening christmas presents in November. they are the same bloody presents, but its just tradition and i like that excitement and anticipation
i dont see buying an album as just giving them more money - its respecting them as artists. they created it! and for all the happiness and amazement i get from listenign to oasis records, i am most definitely going to buy it. in my eyes, its only fair.

Im going to wait. Mainly because ive never downloaded a whole oasis album, i have all the originals from the store and its better to have the disc that you can see instead of some file that is somewhere in a bunch of wires on your computer. Doesnt make much sense does it?

Shakermaker00 quoted:
Is it so expensive in whereever you come from? I'll pay 17 euro for the cd, which is a few beers in a cafe. Strange that a fan falls over that. Then you probably even don't buy the single(s).

I always buy the album and the singles or dvd singles. BHN was my last cd that I heard on the day it came out and with DBTT I am doing that again.
It is not very encouraging when theres one song you havent heard and its "I Can See A Liar" or "All In The Mind".

I'm not waiting out until the album is released for the band's sake, I'm waiting for my own. I just prefer to go to the shop on May 31, buy the album, and experience it the way it was planned to be experienced ie as a whole, with the track list in proper order. Not downloading the album doesn't make you a true oasis fan. Plenty of people here have downloaded the album, and I'd bet at least half of em are bigger oasis fans than myself.

Downloading Lyla (after begging everyone for the link) and listening to it over and over again was a pretty fun experience. ;D The only thing I regret was the poor quality; I really hope the leaked version is full quality. I will buy the album anyway, but waiting is just too much torture. Think about, it will leak at least 2 weeks before the release...
And one more thing... get a good pair of headphones for your computer!
