"when don't believe the truth lands next month, the ground will shake. and it'll simply shake because it's oasis and they - after all this time - can still make the ground shake like no other band. in fact, the degree to which their new LP dares not to fit in with today's scene is a statement in itself of oasis' all-conquering importance" - nme.

and that from that bunch of oasis bashing tossers!! I noticed that since the release of the 10th Oasis anniversary special edition, NME has been plugging Oasis in a rather positive way. Check the reviews for Heathen Chemistry and the articles from around that time.

Get ready for a load of letters next week from people horrified at the sight of a band speaking their mind. Same people who are getting all excited over The Killers and The Bravery having a lovers tiff. I'd write in to tell them all to fuck off in advance but I can't be arsed.

So...........was that part of the review or just part of an NME article on the band and upcoming album?
Live in U.S. so I don't get NME.

whether or not they suck up...its still always great to hear positive oasis reviews. from what i have picked up, its a pretty major mag - so credible or not, it has a lot of influence and such interviews are gonna help people re-realise that oasis are fuckin great! and thats what we want right? not just to be some udnerground elitist band where onlya few fans know the real truth and understand the band. cos fuck all that! oasis have always been about the masses.
and the 16 year olds liking oasis thing -.- i take full responisbility for appreciating oasis when i was 13 by listening to the music myself thankyou very much! =P i didnt have anybody tell me what they were on about cos i dont have older siblings nor were they popular at school or wahtever

Look at the Timeline - it says that the NME gave it bigest dissapointment for Glasto, well i looked at that issue, i kept it for some reason, and would you beleive it, The NME gave Oasis Best Band for Last years festive - Not Biggest dissapointment - Again NME talks through theyre arse

The gig was poor (by Oasis standards), the nme did say it was great at the time though.
