the clip ends with some dark distortion style noise that does not seem to fit wityh the earlier part of the songs. Is this the song that noel said in some interview(nme) that it is one of liams and the last 30 secs will blow our minds or something. because its got me very intrigued.

liams voice has matured in a good way and noel is sounding powerful yeah when i heard the glastonbury concert i was a bit worried about how they were sounding, but i honestly believe liam had like a cold that concert, the way he sounded out some words makes it kinda hard for me to think otherwise...

Well Glasto wasn't the first time Liam sounded off.
Liam's voice obviously lost some range and it obviously deterriorated a bit from the DM and WTSMG days, however, he totally learned how to use it effectively.

I think Liam has made a conscious decision to sing in a moore "sneery", Johnny Rotten kind of voice over the last few years. Between DM and MG is where he found himself as a singer, and his voice matured and got more powerful. Since then he has been pushing that raspy quality more and more to the fore. Sometimes that's great - a tune lik eEyeball Tickler really benefits from that punky kind of vocal. But on other tunes - like on the clip of Won't Let You Down that leaked - it is almost a distraction form the song, the nasal sneery quality of his voice.

i couldn't see him doing the hindu times or SCYHO without the raspiness he's gotten over the years... And I think if he'd sung SCYHO (the opening especially) in the softer, less raspy voice he used on tracks like CNS and CS (on the opening verses to that his voice sounds FANTASTIC), then the general public would have responded to it a lot more; they would have noticed the beauty in the melody, rather than giving the Oasis haters a reason to say "Oh look, another one where Liam sings through his nose". I thought this about the opening to LTBL as well - I think Liam needs to consider when and where he changes gear with his voice a little better.

I think Liam by now knows exactly how and when to change gears with his voice...it's raspy, it's unique, it's unorthodox, and it's also passionate and beautiful and powerful all at the same time...it's what makes them stronger and apart from all the other bands out there...

I'm 99 % sure that Noel was talking specificly about Guess God Thinks I'm Abel and on the clip that strange noise, I'm quite sure that these are the last 30 seconds that blow you away, according to Noel.

I would think Noel was talking about this one b/c the end of this song is completely different than the rest and it kind of disappoints me b/c I think that the music you hear should have its own song...amazing to listen to

Liam's voice obviously lost some range and it obviously deterriorated a bit from the DM and WTSMG days, however, he totally learned how to use it effectively. That's the key - he has mastered his voice more effectively and is using it like an instrument more. I think he's sounding far better than he has in a long while. Weather it production or singing lessons, I think he sounds great.
