Lyla is the only song of the new album I had heard so far. I listened to it a few times and I thought; this song is in the Beatles-Revolvertype of style. I really luv it, Lyla is the best I heard in years and is one of my Oasis favourites already. If the rest of the album is as good as this song I oughta be a lucky person.
???Am I the only one who thinks about it that way?

....though i'd say you can look forward to A Bell Will Ring, "the closest anyone has come to anything on Revolver" according to the big N

A bell will ring does actually sound revolver-ish. Hard to pinpoint exactly why but the guitar part is very beatley, the tone and drive of the guitars emulate songs like "she said she said", the beautiful little persussive shaker at the beggining, the oh so ever Ringo style drumming(and not because its ringo's son), and sounds very much like something lennon could have written. I'm always one for taking quotes like "sounds like revolver" with a pinch of salt but for the first time, I'd say its pretty justified with a Bell will ring......... ....but Lyla......... ??

Lyla is absolutley not even close to being revolverish. The only tune that I (personally) have been able to compare it to is Shaker Maker, same constant beat over and over that constantly makes you think this band its beyound comparison.
