i was one of the people who though the album would be shit (with the addition of a sotog reject and 2 avarage tunes from glasto), but the songs have been re-worked and there fucking quality, from what ive heard i think this may be the special album weve been waiting for.

I tend to agree with you... Mucky Fingers has grown on me but I really dont think its that great. I hope Noel is convinced not to release it. Would be a very poor release with the songs that I have heard so far....

You have to remember that its a crap quality version of the song. Same with MOS. The clips we got are much much better sound quality wise. I'm going to wait to judge MF untill I hear the album version that wasnt ripped in 96kbps, then converted to 128kbps. So far its the only song I don't like, but I agree with whoever said it's a grower.
I also think Lyla is a bit of a grower. I say the video and now I'm starting to dig it.

Lyla grows no doubt, a bit like shaker maker.
As for meaning of soul, anyone who doesnt think this is a quality tune is being unrealistic (while its not the best its no doubt quality and ive only heard the live shit).
What put you down on the album intially mate?

First post here..
I'm a huge fan, I was excited before Heathen Chemistry came out like now, but was let down by the album. There wasn't much inspiration in most of Noel's songs, they all sounded pretty lazy....And Liam was trying to fucking sing like Lennon the whole time.
But, these songs sound like the band were inspired again, (if not scared it was their last chance) and I think Noel is definitely back at the top of his songcraft. Mucky Fingers, even though I don't like it, is a good sign of him writing the music he likes (as opposed to settling for weak garbage like Probably (AITM) and Little By Littlle). Part of the Queue and Importance of Being Idle is Noel at his best, total Lee Mavers numbers. Even Liam's songs seem really fucking good, with nice melodies. He's gotten much better as a songwriter, instead of trying to be fucking Lennon. Turn up the sun reminds me of pre SOTSOG Oasis, which is really the classic Oasis. Cannot believe Andy B. wrote that one. That just might be the most majestic song on there.
It will be a hazy first couple months of summer, that is for sure. There will definitely be boozing and annoying tons of people at parties Blasting this New Record and singing along verbatim completely wasted. The boys are definitley back and just in time for the summer..

Mate to be honest this isnt classic Oasis by any means, this is a new frontier for the boys. New members creating tracks and such. This album, will be mind blowing by anymeans but it will be far from the classic tunes. Be ready for a different (yet quite quality) sound when this album is released. This isnt our next DM, this is out next Oasis heartfelt creation. Enjoy my friends.
