guys just got back in,my buddy at the gym said he was dj in the city saturday at a bar and played lyla and it went over big ;D,some of the younger cats were askin him who is that and can he play it again ;D for nyc to react like this is a good sign the bar is a hip place popular with the nyu students who buy music and thats encouraging  ps he also played CS and rock and roll star to let the cats who wanted to know WHO OASIS WERE and it went over big as well ;D |

That's great! I need to try out the same thing in Richmond. Oh, Kalas, I've been meaning to ask you something. Have you tried harassing XM radio stations to play Lyla? I listnen to Delphi XM radio a lot and they play Oasis quite a bit (which is very nice) but I've never heard them play Lyla.

I've got class in a little while, you see. Have you ever listened to XM? It's fucking mega. And Delphi's stations murder Sirius's. No commercials, no censorship, no Britney Spears, so Switchfoot, no Blink 182, no.... well, no bullshit. |

hey kalas what bar was that cause everyone i go to in the city plays fuckin 50 cent all night i think it was alberta its a bar in the east villiage it plays alternative and he had a dj gig there i may be wrong but i will ask him toomorow morning i know he does gigs in the east villiage .i will get the name toomorow but if u got to ave a ,b,c there are plenty of bars that play good music |

XM Radio: www.xmradio.com (go to any of the rock channels and select "Request a Song"). I have a friend who works at XM and says that all requests get pooled together and they put it to the "appropriate" station I have been requesting everday and they play Lyla 4 to 5 times a day on Ethel (47), MTV Radio & VH1Radio on XM However, more people requesting the better!!!!!!! |

Okay, like liammann said, it's www.xmradio.com/In the Rock section, here are the stations that we have the most chance for getting them played on: Fred, XM Cafe, Top Tracks, Deep Tracks, Ethel, and Lucy For the hits section: Top 20 on 20, Mix, and UPop I'm gonna open up a new thread for this too. |
