We are counting the days, waiting with a excitement for the next releases. First Lyla and shortly after it the new anticipated album. How do you experience it? Is is the same as earlier releases; like HC for excample or is your feeling different... Also the releaseday, what are you planning to do or is there even a sort of ritual? I am serious counting now, everyday is step closer to a sort of climax which we are all waiting for. Personally I do have a ritual; on the day of the release first thing is going to a cdshop, buy the cd and listen to the album under the enjoyment of a cup of tea. After that I report what i've heard to everyone who want's to hear (or even not). The same day I drink myself into happiness or dissapointment. Luckely dissapointment was never there, or it must have been a little with SOTSOG. Tell me about it...

Before last year, I was never a huge Oasis fan, so this is my first go at a CD release... And I'm gonna be off in the middle of nowhere, with no chance to buy it until the weekend after.. .

I was at a church camp for the summer of 02, in july and the whole time of being their, the pastors and all of the peer christians are telling everyone to through away their secular cds and only listen to christians music(fuck that I don't want to be stuck with dilirious). the day I got back was the day heathen chemistry was released in america(i think july 2nd or 3rd), I got my dad to take me up to the local best buy and was probably the first to buy it in my town. I was with out a computer at the time so I had now way to download the leaked stuff and couldn't even hear the hindu times, so everything on that cd was very fresh for me, i loved it.

If God was on earth too, he would be waiting for the album to come out and play it load. Why?? Because He knows what Godness is; enjoying a new Oasis album for the first time.
Amen.

Since Morning Glory I haven't missed a release day!!
Usually I am working sadly but always enjoy the lunch hour popping into HMV (or Our Price when it was still around). It is cool listening to the tracks on my discman as much as possible before finally finishing work and listening to the whole thing again.
I have never felt let down by the band and always have instant favourites then "growers" (the ones I am not sure about one minute then am humming the next!). Release dates are a beautiful thing when they arrive!!!!

I only hope Mix-up(cd store in Mexico) will have it by may30th or sooner.
They didn't have HC until july 7th, i remember going there everyday asking hey, when will you have the album? why don't you have it yet? and i was there everyday by the time the store opened, it was kind of frustrating..........the only good thing about those days is that i was on summer vacation but now i'll have to skip some classes on may 30th.

You know, it's moments like these that you realize that the internet is a double edged sword. I go through the rituals like every other Oasis fan. I've found a lot of parallels with this particular release to my childhood.
It's sort of like Christmas when you were say 9 or 10. You're still nearly peeing yourself with anticipation on Christmas Eve, but earlier that day, the class bully told you there was no such thing as Santa. So you're really happy the next day, but the moment has been ruined because some bastard had to open his big mouth.
I won't lie- I've listened to the four leaked tracks. But it really has diminished the whole experience of immersing yourself completely into the album for the first time. Some of it will be fresh, but you'll be singing along with the four you already know. The last time I got to have that naive experience with an Oasis album was with SOTSOG, and the album was THAT MUCH better because I didn't have the chance to hear it leaked.
I really do wish that people would stop being opportunists with Oasis in particular. You're ruining a special thing for all of us, and on top of it, you're diminishing the integrity of being a recording artist.

i don't give a fuck if i first hear it off the internet. when sotsog leaked i was new to the internet and barely got a version of little james that sounded like an audience recording from 20 miles away. i fuckin loved it and played it in my mini full blast. people thought i was mentally challenged..anyway..then the album finally came out. i was at the store an hour early to get it and the fuckers didnt even have it out. took me like 6 hours to finally find it and i was fuckin blown away, even made my dad listen to it while he was making me something to eat. hc i downloaded right after it leaked and it was like being suprised by an early release. fuckin great. i miss the anticipation and standing outside hmv or virgin waitin for the door to open but either way it's like fuckin christmas and a birthday on the same day

HAHAHAHAHAHA ;D
Well guess what?? I am STILL a DBTT VIRGIN, I have NOT d-loaded any of the leaked tracks, the only one I have heard yet is Lyla (obviously), and yes I did hear I Can See It Now (but that's a B-Side so that doesn't count LOL), so unlike HC, the first time I put on the CD (probably during the car-ride home from the record store!) will be as mind blowing and fresh for me as it was when I bought FTM, SOTSOG, BHN, and WTSMG! (I bought a used copy of DM a few years after it's release, I wasn't yet MADFERIT at that point)
I have resisted the temptation, it's almost like a coke addict having a kilo of the highest quality shit sitting on his nighttable every day, and resisting! I absolutely THIRST for the new songs, but am resisting... I really hope that the only song that WFNX, WBOS, and WBCN plays before the album release is Lyla, so it doesn't spoil my fun... GeeezusChirst, I'll feel like a kid on christmas morning heading down to Newbury Comics that Tuesday morning! ;D

There's gonna me be much drinking going on at the day of the release. One drink for every song and a finish for the whole album. The excitement is all over me and nobody near to me understands why. I feel sad for them that they don't experience what I experience. They're probably waiting for the new Westlife release. But I don't give a f#ck because nobody feels what I feel right now.

Rip it to my computer (I keep all my music stored on my computer. iTunes lets you do so much . Plus I have nice speakers) Play it loudly, chill back. And keep it on repeat for about a week.
