Wouldnt DBTT be Oasis's 7th Album NOT their 6th?? 1.) Definitetly Maybe 2.) (What's The Story) Morning Glory 3.) Be Here Now 4.) The Masterplan 5.) Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants 6.) Heathen Chemistry ----- 7.) DON'T BELIEVE THE TRUTH does Masterplan not count? If not, why not.... Someone clear up my confusion....

The Masterplan is a compilation of B-Sides, not a studio album.

thanks, but im still failing in grasping the concept of b-sides
some of these songs are damn good:
Underneath The Sky, Talk Tonight, Going Nowhere, Listen Up, Rockin' Chair, Half The World Away, Stay Young, and of course The Masterplan which is ACE
almost the whole CD is filled with quality songs, why wouldnt they release it as an album??
I guess what im askin is what is the point of B-Sides when they are amazing?

if you wanna count familiar to millions it would be their 8th, but dbtt is their 6th studio album plus the masterplan(b sides) and familiar to millions(double cd live album)

If you're gonna count Familiar to Millions and The Masterplan then you might as well count The Lost Tapes and all their early stuff as well.
Oasis have done 6 official studio albums. End of story really.

the point of a b-side is like giving a hardcore fan an extra insentive to buy the single, cos the b-sides will not be on the album....so if your a real fan you will buy all the singles i know i do
lucky for us oasis provides us most of the time with b-side songs that are just as good as album tracks so i dont feel cheated for spending the money
then you have a great band like u2 where there b-sides are horrid....then again anything they have released in the past 2 albums with exception to vertigo, beautiful day, walk on, elevation and love and peave have been horrid
but back to the point b-sides are just the little things that make buying music great
is that a good definition of the point to b-sides?
