Okay everyone, just finished watching the video replay and here's exactly what Noel said about STC--
"It's called "Stop the Clocks" and it was written right at the end of Heathen Chemistry. In fact, it was written while Liam was doing the vocals for "Stop Crying Your Heart Out." And the whole album, it was kind of based around that song. It was kind of a long Champagne Supernova thing. It's got fantastic lyrics and it's a great vibe, but I felt that we never really got the correct version. We've got 6 or 7 versions of it and not one of them really kind of just sat in the pocket for me. It's there, it will be on the back burner. I mean, originally the album was going to be called "Stop the Clocks," which would have been a great title. But, because these songs were so new, that kind of then began to feel very old because it was written in 2001. But it will come out eventually."
Thanks for answering this question Noel, and thanks Lawrence from Ireland for getting the question through.
I thought it was appropriate for me to post this one, although I'm gonna have change my signature line soon.

Personally i think Noel is telling a fib.
I think they wouldn't put it on an album until they got out of the deal with Sony, which after Don't Believe The Truth they will have done.
Call me a cynic... ;D

I think it would make a lot of sense for the next album to be titled "Stop The Clocks"... as in rite after signing a new deal with a new label, it would be like saying, "Stop the clocks!!! We're BACK!!!"

You'll shit your pants in excitment! But I see your point, I don't even know what to expect from it....if it's gonna blow me away has to be an epic song....not a 3-4 minute ditty, not that there's anything wrong with that but if this song is mega, it has to sound MEGA

Exactly, kalas, I totally agree that although I was disappointed with LTBL as a whole, it IS Liam's best vocal since WTSMG

I remember Noel saying somewhere that he's himself a bit tired of Stop The Clocks and that there's more than 6/7 versions...

I posted my comments about "Stop the Clocks" on an earlier thread, from about a month ago, called (surprisingly) "Stop the Clocks." I post them again below, (1) just to be a smart aleck; and (2) because some people found them funny. Someone who replied to that earlier thread (unfortunately, I can't recall who right now) pointed out that I missed the "classic" of long lost "masterpieces," the Beach Boys "Smile." But here are my comments. Remeber, fellow fans, we're talking about a song no one has really heard in its full arrangement, being touted as a potential single off a b-sides album that hasn't really been confirmed, from a band that don't have a recording contract.
"Stop the Clocks" will probably become one of those rock legends, the "lost" Oasis tune that's supposedly brilliant. It's like the Black Crowes supposedly have an album or half an album called "Smaller" floating around out there somewhere, recorded around the time of their 3rd album, when the two Robinson brothers weren't speaking to each other. Hard-core Black Crowes fans always ask about it when they get a chance, even though the Crowes have said it's no big deal, and that most of the material that was supposed to go on an album called "Smaller" wound up in other places. "Stop the Clocks" will be like that. It'll be the year 2067, Noel will be celebrating his 100th birthday on life support, and a reporter will interview him about the new Oasis boxed-set that just came out, and will say: "I know many Oasis fans are disappointed that you did not include 'Stop the Clocks' among the unreleased material on the boxed set…" And Noel will say "yeah, we're still working on it. Didn't really fit. Couldn't quite get it right in the studio. But I think we finally nailed it. Thinking about a Christmas release. Or maybe next year…"

You gotta admit I was right. It was overhyped from before we heard. Why it never lived up to billing , gotta admit I hit nail on head if i do say so myself
