OK now Noel has said they are going to play 8 new songs at the gigs. Since there are so many tunes that are played wth acoustic guitar are we gonna see them with acoustic guitars up there??? And maybe Liam will play a tune???

Personally, I think the songs that are recorded acoustic-- like Wonderwall and Go Let It Out, and then played electric live don't sound as good. With an album loaded with acoustic songs, I'm kind of hoping they'll pull out the old acoustic guitars on this tour.
Hey Dixonhill, who's the girl on bass?

I totally agree. and if Liam played a guitar too it would be a great wall of acoustic guitar

Maybe Noel will do the new acoustic songs in one of his solo acoustic numbers?

I agree that having some acoustics out would be great, I haven't seen the band do this at big gigs for years (except if Liam is ill or something and Noel does an acoustic set).
I always thought that certain tunes suffered from being played live electrically - Wonderwall for example always for me lost some of it's depth and grace in the translation.

i like the acoustic set but it takes the energy out of the show not if they get it right - my old band was usually electric, but when we did acoustic it still rocked. The 2 guitars have to have different parts to make it full if that makes any sense

Well, the Meaning of Soul doesn't have an electric guitar, but it's loaded with energy.

Shaker said something along the lines of 8 new songs being a bit much on set & historically it's a best of set the band usually plays. To an extent that's true, but when I was at Finsbury Park they played.....
The Hindu Times Hung In A Bad Place Stop Crying Your Heart Out Little By Little Better Man Born on A Different Cloud Force of Nature
That's 7 tracks from an 11 track album.
It's not beyond the imagination that they could play 7, or 8 from 11 on the DBTT tour IMO.

I really missed the acoustic set and I agree with other posters that it can work if they do it right - but the thought of Liam or all of them on acoustic would be very exciting - kinda a Crosby Stills Nash & Young kinda thig - talk about a new direction!!
