OKay, maybe a stupid question, and it's definately jelousy, but why do they always get the extra tracks? I'm sure there's some logical explanation, but i'm bitter!

Because cds are moere expensive in Japan. SOmetimes theres an extra track on an European version compared to the USA version.

to clarify..imported cds (american) are actually cheaper in japan than the the local japanese/translated etc cds, so the japanese government gives record companies incentives to put extra tracks on the local cds, so that the locals buy that copy instead..

Is there any point in buying the import? They will end up as being B-sides on a single anyway, just like You've got the heart of a star did on heathen chemistry.

I've been able to get Japanese releases of Definitely Maybe and SOTSOG from Amazon and Ebay and got them rather cheap. Of course, EIL.com is already offering the Japanese Don't Believe the Truth release for "only" 60 american dollars. Great selection, but their stuff is way too expensive.

A wee bit off topic but does anyone have details on the limited edition release - I'm assuming it will have a DVD of the documentary we all saw, but I also heard it comes in a box... |

i think its just the hardcover packaging, like if you ever saw the special edition of think tank by blur yu'll have an idea of what to expect (minus the damon) and it comes with the linear notes. i think we know which edition everyone is going to buy
