I admit, as soon as Standing on the Shoulder of Giants and heathen chemistry leaked I downloaded them; however, I am going to wait this one out....I remember how excited I was the day Be Here Now came out...flipping through the book, going to the madferrit discussion boards, talking about it with friends...Though i do not condemn anyone here for downloading the leaked tracks, I am going to resist temptation and wait till the end of may.
who here is doing the same?

I'm with ya. I heard most of Heathen Chemistry for the first time at Coachella 2002 from some dude at his car. It was an experience because of all the Oasis fans from across North America tailgating. But nothing will top that feeling of anticipation I had buying Be Here Now. I almost slipped. I downloaded Muck Fingers and listened to about 20 seconds of it. I stopped it and deleted it immediately. I'm waiting. It's not a moral thing by any means, I download music all the time. I just want to wait.

I never have downloaded and never will. If Im spending teh cash I want 12 songs Ive never heard. the feeling of a fresh album is the greatest.
i read somewhere that someone was waiting until one of the concerts to hear the new songs. now that is an interesting thought.

lucky for me that i got into oasis just a few months before be here now came out and i never enjoyed opening a cd and listening to it more then that day. unfortunately i downloaded both sotsog and hc before they came out, and though i liked both it wasn't close to the same feeling. i told myself if this one leaked i'd just download the 2 songs they played live and since a bell will ring isn't available i got mucky fingers instead. so those 2 and lyla will be more than enough to hold me over till the end of may. plus i imagine there will a couple b-sides.
as for the songs i've heard,
mucky fingers - good, very dylan like, about a 7 meaning of soul - pretty awful, one of my least favorite oasis songs, maybe a 5. lyla - 8.5 really catchy, LOVE the chorus, defintely the best of the 3 i've heard.
let me tell you it is fucking difficult to not download let there be love but i can wait.

I´m waiting. Definitely not gonna download it. I´ve always waited. It´s more exciting to hear it from original cd and top quality. And another reason is that I love and respect that band so much that it will be worth of waiting. They have recorded it three times and used a lot of money and time for it. So is it six week waiting so much then for us? No.
But I´m not gonna judge those hardcore who download it, because I know that they will be buying album too. But those fuckers who don´t buy it, and download it..for them all I can say is Fuck off!
and of course I´m going to buy Lyla too.

I'm waiting too, a mate of mine says the quality of the leaked stuff is awful. I can't help thinking i'd be let down if i listened to it... Roll on May 30th! Unless, of course, the tw*t who leaked the tracks has caused the release date to be bought forward. Every cloud..!
