it's not exaclty as "free as a bird" but the 'effect' is the same. What I mean is that LTBL does not 'explose' at the end of the song (like champagne supernova or some other classic oasis song -that's the main reproach made on a french oasis forum) but in fact this song 'rise up' 'rise up' é 'rise up' as if it was an universally-beatle-esque-fuckin'-anthem dedicated to the skies. so no need of blowing-up effect but just an 'arising' one... like the clip of free as a bird, when the camera flies in the grey skies during the solo... imagine the clip of free as a bird with LTBL... quite amazing p.s. sorry for my english of you don't understand : first I have a cinematographer point of view, then I'm french (belgium, not france )

It IS totally Lennon. A lot of people have been saying that.
This song would have fit right the Imagine or Mind Games LPs.
This isn't a knock - this is great
Do you think LTBL could be a radio hit? What about a radio hit in the US? Is it too slow to be commercial? If so, that's a shame. Would really silence a lot of Oasis' critics

Very similar feel. Though free as a bird has a more 50s slow r&b prom night thing going on... Let There be Love is a better tune EXCEPT when Liam comes back in after Noel's bit and says the SAME damn line from the first verse. That still bugs me. They should have written something different there..Just doesn't flow right before it hits the final chorus...

I personally think it is one of the best things they have done, it just blows me away.

Would really silence a lot of Oasis' critics Or alternatively, it will make those critics pip up again with another "Look, another song from Oasis that sounds like the Beatles - what a shock" moan.
