What can I say? 10 years of supporting Oasis through thick and thin came to a sad end this morning. Four album tracks were leaked and each and every one was dire. Had this album been released as a debut by a previously unheard of band, it would recieve no hype and would probably not get into the top 100 of the album charts.
It pains me to say this, as they were once the greatest band in the world. The untouchable kings of rock 'n' roll, with music to blow your mind and an arrogant swagger in their steps. What the hell just happened!? A small part of me wants to believe that these tracks are a joke or that they are some early demos that were scrapped for being so unbelievably shite. I doubt very much that this is the case - they appear to be worryingly bonafide.
To Oasis: Thanks for the good times. You provided the soundtrack to youth, from age 16 to 26. You really rocked. I'm sorry, but I will never buy an Oasis album again. I will remember you for the good times - live forever.

Your entitled to your opinion, but thank god you only a part of small percentage who think like that. Oasis are still one of the greatest bands that will ever grace this earth. People talk about Coldplay being huge....so big infact that you can still by tickets to most of their live shows whilst Oasis sold out in only a few hours

there are loads of newbies like him who just came to get what they heard was here, made up there mind it wasn't worth the registration and just left; good riddance to ya there are still loads of us who believe in this band and we didn't just come on to register to get the tracks; those of us who've been on here whether it be a few months or a few years know what it's all about. so fuck those who don't get it

If it eases your anger, I actually like Lyla a lot. i personally am not angry with you; it's just that you're one of many who came on here to get the new tracks and none of us registered to this forum for that purpose; it isn't what this forum stands for; know what i mean?

For starters, I haven't just arrived here from nowhere. I have been registered on the official Oasis website forum for a couple of years. As the official forum was closed for obvious reasons, I decided to air my opinions here. This is an open forum and everyone is entitled to their view. Also, I did not come here to get the leaked tracks - I also got these from the official forum.
Believe me, I wanted to like these tracks so much. Oasis mean a lot to me. I have seen them live a few times and they blew me away! However, anyone that saw them play 'A bell will ring' and 'The meaning of soul' at Glastonbury last year will know how awful they sounded.

The songs ARE great, what the fuck did you expect? rock n roll star, wonderwall, champagne supernova!! Its a new album, new songs, new sound! Times have moved on and im fuckin delighted with the results. Fair enough, you dont like the songs, but this is the first time you have ever heard.....at least give them time to grow on you. If your prepared to make statements like you just have even though youve heard half the album only a few times then i suggest you play WTSMG on repeat, put a parker on and pretend you are stuck in 1995!! TWAT!

For those of you that think Mucky Fingers is an original move from Oasis, I suggest you listen to 'Vice' by Razorlight. Noel rips off their riff, repeats it for the duration of the song, and attempts to sing like Dylan, and I must emphasise the word 'attempts'. Truely shameless.

Yeah OK, my thread title was fishing for trouble I admit. Seriously though, do you guys really think these songs live up to DM, WTSMG and BHN? They were 3 classic albums and in my opinion every song outshines these four new ones.
