Uugh... I hate to say "I told you so", and I wont, since I doubt that eBay guy had anything really to do with this. But still, this sucks with everyone spamming the board looking for the new songs. Inet forums look like they'll be shut down for awhile.  Either way, I downloaded the new songs, and I love them!!! I can't wait to have the album in my hands, and I can't wait to hear them live this summer. PS: If I don't know you, don't ask me for the songs. They're not hard to find on your own. |

Going through the songs a second time, I like them a LOT more than the first go.
Mucky Fingers on the first go I was like "WTF is this? Not Oasis, surely!" But second round through, I've decided it's actually a quirky, but good song... Grower for sure...
Lyla (I just put the tracks in order) - The one off the promo disc is just so much better quality than the other tracks, so I like it better... Plus it's a more Oasis song...
Meaning Of Soul - I've got a version with some clicks at the beginning, which sucks, but the song is good. I still say something's missing from the song, but overall it's not bad...
Keep the Dream Alive - First listen I thought it was kinda boring, but second round through I like it quite a lot. Singing's VERY good, although not quite as in-your-face as we're used to.
Let There Be Love - This was the only one that I loved from the first listen. I suppose that's partly due to having heard it a thousand times in demo form before... Either way, I really like it a lot.

mucky fingers is awful, maybe its a grower like lyla but iv only listend to it twice, but too me it sounds as unremarkable as all in the mind
that said meaning of soul is amazing

personally..... i really like mucky fingers - its different..... a modern sounding bob dylan tune...... with intellegent lyrics - like bob dylan! no big oasis anthem like chorus, which is ok..... you can't have every single track like that in my books! the voice is way to low in the mix. meaning of soul - again - different a punk rock tune played on a acoustic guitar with a harmonica solo.......... very excitying - a cool tune keep the dream alive - great chorus! sounds very close to the charlatans, tellin' stories. same chords, same meldody........ check it out, its kind of scary!........... still really good! let there be love - very oasis! i love it............ people who don't like oasis are going to hate this song!!........... but its one of those songs..... dbtt's, champagne supernova...... it really should be a single! lya...... its just like 'roll with it'......... a big dumb rock'n'roll song, that works very well when your pissed..... the way all great dumb r.n.r songs should be! ac/dc sucks sober.......... but pissed....... know what i mean? |

HOLY CRAP. these songs are amazing. i cant even believe that people are slating this.
i'm so in love with Meaning of Soul. it's unlike anything that Oasis has ever done.
this album is unreal. hahaha i put it right after Morning Glory. I loved Be Here Now and SOTSOG and HC but this, this record is something big. wow

From what I've heard so far, I think it's brilliant. Let There Be Love is simply put one of the best songs they've ever written; it is the type of anthem that you would hope for from these guys; Noel has proven himself yet again. Keep the Dream Alive is from a similar vein, Andy Bell is a genius. The Meaning of Soul is all cock and swagger, Liam has proven himself yet again, and it is only one of the 3 songs that are to come. Mucky Fingers, well, not the biggest fan of this one; great lyrics though, but it needs a melody; I can take it in easier than most of the crap on Rock n Roll Radio nowadays though.
Only based on 5 songs, there's a great feeling for this album so far; there's celebration, love and fuckin rock n roll, and we haven't even heard half of the damn thing!
And then there's Let There Be Love, which clearly has that Lennon-ish feeling to it, and for good reason. Like Imagine, it seems to be (in my opinion of course) a call for change, and isn't that what the lads have always been about? The light that shines beyond the darkness? Cept this time it isn't Supernova Rock n Roll that calls for it, it's all heart and soul. It's a call for a new discourse of things, a new idea that isn't new at all: Love. Noel has officially become one of the fuckin Beatles!
Of course, that's all my opinion, I might just be full of shite, as I have been known to be in the past.

I hated Meaning of Soul after hearing it on the Glasto boot... but now I love it. Studio version with Liam's voice back sounds soooo much better now

i can't really tell if i'm sleeping or if i'm awake right now cause the new tunes are fu'king stunning.
liams voice sound better then in a long time, and he works prefect with the acostic guitar, cant wait to hear "guess god thinks i'm able"

yeah meaning of soul is just a kick ass rock and roll with a gorgeous melody song. Mucky fingers, although not my fave still rocks. let there be love is simply breath taking for me....... kinda like imagine by john lennon. What can i say.. this is unreal!! this is up there with their classics. The album leaked?
