White people fucked up the blues ;D Lol, people like jeff beck did for a bit (let's face it he's awful). In blues terms though, elmore james, muddy waters and buddy guy r the gaffers. I've never really rated robert johnson or bb king.

true
imo though peter green surpasses most blues guitarists. In his day i don't think anyone come close to him in blues terms, not even clapton (who is badly over-rated). He's the only person that's played a solo we're i've felt like shedding a tear because it was that good. Him and rory gallagher never get the praise they deserve.

I've never really rated robert johnson or bb king. b.b. king is completely different, cause he's chicago blues. it's great. i love his work. after all, he's the king of blues.

Let face it, Noel Gallagher is not a "good" guitarist, he's a good songwriter. Always 3 chords type of song, when he tries a solo a bit faster than 2 notes per second i bet he's goes seeking health insurance...
Guitarist like Michael Akerfleld(opeth), Satriani, Steve Vai for example are awesome guitar players, but sometime we can't stand their music...

I think Noel Gallagher is a good guitarist. He's just not a great guitarist. A lot of the music he writes is simple, because that is how he writes, so it doesn't necessarily reflect his abilities. I read an interview in the NME with Ian Brown not too long ago where he was talking about "Keep What You Got," and he said that he didn't realize how good of a guitar player Noel really was until he was playing in the studio one day. He also said that people don't give him enough credit for how good he really is.
