the LDSMD version of the meaning of soul). What do you mean by the LDSMD version? I think he means the electric version they did on tour with the drum intro

What do you mean by the LDSMD version? I think he means the electric version they did on tour with the drum intro exactly...it just wails all the more with that build-up and more "plugged in" sound. if they came out with somehing real aggressive and 90% rocking, a lot of critics would sit up and take notice. let there be rock.

I got the feeling this new Oasis album is gonna be monumental! It's gonna have more than one number 1 hit single in the UK, and it will have a gigantic hit single that will reach the Billboard Hot 200 in America. I just got the feeling this album will bring Oasis back to the top!
The reason I have this feeling is because their last album Don't Believe The Truth spawned Oasis's highest entry in any American singles chart since Be Here Now, that being Lyla that reached number 19 in the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. The album itself has been certified Gold in America as of the end of 2007. This means the album has sold 500,000 copies in America and counting. This would be Oasis's best selling album in the States since Be Here Now. Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants and Heathen Chemistry have sold poorly in the States, meaning less than 500,000 copies sold.
Oasis are only getting better!

All i know is that i want this album to be MEGA and i want it to wake up americas rock scene. I want the first single to take this country by storm and leave people in complete AW. and for once just shuting up the critics and shedding some positive light on their lyrical talent and mega sound. I guess i just want them to have the effect they had on americans back in the 90's

America can't even see the great bands and artist they have, sad but true, cos mainstream music is just shit Yeah i guess your right it just sucks i sometimes i feel like im alone in america and that im the only one who respect and enjoys the music Oasis makes and the work that goes into each song and the lyrics blow my mind when i listen to some of the old material (when i haven't listen to it in awhile)....everyone else around me is all about wonderwall, don't look back in anger, champagne supernova, and don't go away.....and i look at them and say their are so many more songs they have that are just as good or even better....i don't know maybe im just too much of a die hard fan or maybe i really am the only one in this country that like them (just how i feel not saying its true obviously)

i really can't wait for the album... i think that it will have some acoustic stuff but its good that they are going rocky toward it...
And to you USOasis86 some of the kids at my school now oasis. Of course they know Champagne, Wonderwall and Live Forever.. But i saw one guy who had The Girl In The Dirty Shirt i was suprised i think they have an under ground type fanbase not too popular but some people know who they are and the real fans go deeper than the hits.

like I said, TWO "Lylas" off the new album would realy help them out over here (U.S.).
It would have been very similar for the last record. While lyla didn't exactly shatter any records, it did have some staying power on the air for awhile..another strong single would have only helped. I was hopng the release of TIOBI or LLAB would have spurred it along, but even though those are great tunes, they just dont strike me as "hits" in the states here.
A true rebirth stateside is still not out of the question.
