I've posted this before with zero response (it never ceases to amaze me as to what garners attention around here).
I guess I just expect an offcial release from our favorite band to spark more interest as to whether or not we'll actually be able to VIEW IT.
Does anyone know if the Manchester show DVD (which has been confirmed to be shot in HD) is in BLU-RAY or HD-DVD format?
FYI- the two formats are NOT compatible and you will have to own a player that will play the appropriate source.
thanks

Universal music group is a member of the Blu-Ray Disc Association, so I would imagine if they decide to release it in a hi-def format it will be blu-ray, but I am not sure if they are exclusive or if the also manufacture HD-DVD discs. edit - If you are into blu-ray I think you will find this article interesting - www.audioholics.com/news/editorials/blu-rays-dirty-little-secret

the dvd is said to be shot in HD but is released in the standard dvd format and i do not think they will release it in a high def format as the documentary is not shot in HD and you get the city of Manchester as a limited edition bonus disc
