noel will never write a song as great as "live forever" at this late stage of his life! that is just the way of rock n roll! He already did....... Stop the Clocks. i'll believe it when i hear it.

Totally agree it can't be compared to the glorious B sides which were better than the 'A' sides. I honestly think its truly horrible.
I had the DVD for chistmas and it was so boring. Sorry to sound negative but LSMD is in my opinion very very crap. I can't stand this retro rock n roll direction he's going in. I can't satnd rock n roll, I got into music because of INDIE type bands which at one point oasis were. I really hate this version of oasis much as it pains me to say. Unfortunately to me this version of oasis seem to conjur up images of bearded rockers (like ZZ top) Harley Davidsons, easy rider, Jane Fonda, mid western diners, dudes wearing bandanas and denim jackets.
I was given Led Zep mothership for xmas too and yes there are some brilliant uncomparable gems like Whole Lotta Love but there are aso some bluesy dirges which remind me of the 'new' oasis.
Come on oasis bring it back to the present at least.
I honestly love oasis's music but I am objective and realistic and refuse to rave about every burb they force up.
I hope that this DVD's music doesn't represent the new oasis direction.
I know this band will do better- I still have faith although It feels that waiting for the second coming is becoming increasingly desperate.

Its not bad, its a throw away single, as Noel himself said. I'm not sure what you mean when you say a new retro direction. Are the beatles not retro?
Of course if you can't appreciate the majesty of Led Zep then there's a lot of things you won't get in the music world.
And as for the dvd, I thought it was a good laugh, with some great concert footage, especially the japanese fans belting out DLBIA. Sums up the whole experience really.
