AEROSMITH star STEVEN TYLER has poked fun at LIAM GALLAGHER in a new interview, claiming the OASIS singer is a terrible frontman.
The LIVE FOREVER star reminds the WALK THIS WAY rocker of a terrible guy who fronted one of his bandmate JOE PERRY's former group's - and was so bored with the music he pasted photos of naked women all over the stage so he could gaze down at them as he performed.
Tyler says, "The lead singer would tape a copy of Playboy to the stage and look at the girls and he didn't give a s**t - kind of like that singer in Oasis." The Aerosmith singer accepts Gallagher is just trying to be cool but he'd love to see the Oasis frontman really let loose.
Tyler adds, "Even Liam does a dance to whatever he's feeling. When he gets home he doesn't continue to kick the imaginary wires on the floor, does he?"

I always thought the the reason Liam didn't do anything on stage was because he didn't have too, the the music spoke for itself.

Liam's a singer, not a performer... & I agree that everyone has their own style.

I consider Aerosmith the only band which is on the same "level" as Oasis. Steven Tyler is a very kind person, I don't think he would ever claim that someone is a 'terrible' frontman. Liam could learn a lot from Tyler, like how to maintain a good voice after many years of singing (03:55 ) Although I think it's pretty difficult to really 'dance' on Oasis songs, Liam could show a little more passion for music while performing in my opinion...but I guess that's just his style

In my opinion he's cool in his own (very) particular way as a frontman...I like his style, the problem with him is his voice... also sometimes he looks bored on stage...
Anyway, the best frontman in history is M Jagger.-

One of my favourite Noel quotes...
"Call us arrogant all you want. Just don't call us Aerosmith"
Not every front man has to have a wireless mic and run all over the stage. Oasis have always been about the music and I like that.

Tyler is a poor mans jagger. They haven't a rock sound in the second half of thier career and wouldn't have been popular if wasn't for hot chicks in thier videos and long drawn out videos. I don't think liam would need to wrap the scarfs from his neck around the mic stand to be a good lead singer or wear crappy skin tight clothing. F steven tyler
When it comes to rock music, aerosmith is as relevant as the goo goo dolls. They were able to change the format of thier videos from hot chicks in lingerie to mini movies and that allowed them to get airplay. Its unfortunate that they weren't left behind with the motley crue's of the era.

When I see Liam performing I always get the feeling he's just standing there "making money", though that's probably just because of his singing stance. Anyway this has been taken out of its context completely. Tyler is very close with Oasis, he was even invited by Liam or Noel (think it was Liam) to see them at the brits. He would never say such things about them, it just seems out of character. Or he was joking, or he didn't say these things at all

He's standing there, that's how he does it. Liam probably did that since day one, I've never seen any footage of him dancing on stage. I doubt the quote was taken out of context, but it does sound like a joke. Sounds like something a friend would say, you know what I mean?

What I mean is when you see Liam performing, it's like he doesn't really "mean" the lyrics of the song. Especially when singing idealisitc songs like Live Forever, Liam doesn't show any passion for what he sings. This is the difference between him and Tyler; when you see Tyler performing he really gets 'into' the song.

Wow, I really have no response to that. He doesn't mean it? I don't think he means, I know he means it. Just listening to his vocals on, say, Slide Away, any concert they performed it, is more then enough to make me believe it fuckin' means it with all his soul. He doesn't need to dance around and shit to prove that.

Don't know if he really means it, but in any case he doesn't show any passion while singing. But I guess that's just the difference between a frontman from the 90's-21st century and a frontman from the 70's, like Tyler

Liam dosen't show passion . next your gonna tell me noel can't write songs.

Tyler adds, "Even Liam does a dance to whatever he's feeling. When he gets home he doesn't continue to kick the imaginary wires on the floor, does he?" So what's Tyler saying? Looking more animated whenever you listen to music shows you mean it more just cos he does more on stage than Liam? Does that mean when he listens to music at home he changes into spandex, gurns at the pet cat and then jumps through the front window?
