This is going to be mega!! I can't wait to know which of the tracks they'll be doing. Liam's got Lennon's range but I don't know if Noel and the boys are up for the production for "a day in the life" or "being for the benefit of mr kite"

Sounded good until Razorlight. JET would be much better. Razorlight piss over most of the people doing it. its a very conservative selection for an album that is reasonably diverse.

Oasis means Noel & Gem performing acoustically.

Oasis means Noel & Gem performing acoustically. Could be. Could also just be the backing vocals of Noel on one track, with the drumming of Zak, which would be fitting. But I'm guessing Liam'd be in there too, his voice is always good in the studio. As long as it's not When I'm 64.

My vote: Noel on vocals doing "When I'm 64", he fits to that one.- or both in Sgt Pepper's... however it will be starnge.-

Another thing...
Noel is about to re-record the complete Beatles catalog...
I love the beatles but he should try with some others songs/bands too...

I love the beatles but he should try with some others songs/bands too... well its a beatles tribute would be a little silly to sing a song from any band but the beatles and from any album other than sgt pepper. also he recently played with paul weller playing a jam track and he covered the smiths

Sure, but he is always doing something with their songs, every year... Anyway it's a great new, cause I love that album and it doesn't matter the song they pick, it will be fantastic... also he recently played with paul weller playing a jam track and he covered the smiths

I think Noel's voice would fit 'Lovely Rita' perfectly. Would love to hear that, one of my favourite Beatles songs. Would be good to hear Liam and Noel sharing the vox on 'With a Little Help From My Friends' but I'd be very surprised if Liam is involved.

Yeah, I also believe Liam is gonna be out of this one... hopefully Noel gets to sing an entire song and do something bigger than a simple participation with other artists... by the way, wasen't Oasis supposed to do record a song from the Bee Gees also? because that one never came out.... hope it's not just a fancy rumor...

there's no way their version will be even 10 percent as good as the original. especially a day in the life, they'll never get that one.
a day in the life is lennon and macca creating a powerful atmosphere that cannot be replicated in any way shape or form

Fuck me, I hope they release a full on double cd of these recordings. "Oasis" better mean Liam, Noel, Gem, Andy and Zak. I mean I like Noels accoustic but, this is the Beatles we're talking about, Liams' vox has to be in this. I wishin for "A day in the Life"
