From todays Sun Manc of the match for Liam December 11, 2006
COMMENT ON THIS STORY LIAM GALLAGHER reckons being the lead singer in OASIS is like winning Man Of The Match at football.
The gobby Mancunian said: “I’m the geezer with the champagne getting Man Of The Match. I think we all know that.
“I’m the one who scores in the last minute. NOEL’s the defender who drives it and that. You do the work and I’ll just have a laugh and look good.” Liam also reckons it’s wrong to like different types of music. He says: “A lot of people like lots of music. I don’t. I think that’s ignorant.
“It’s like having loads of girlfriends. I don’t like lots of styles of music, I just like rock ’n’ roll.”
He also insisted: “I want Oasis to be bigger. I want to make great records that people love. I think there’s a special one round the corner.”

“A lot of people like lots of music. I don’t. I think that’s ignorant. “It’s like having loads of girlfriends. I don’t like lots of styles of music, I just like rock ’n’ roll.” i'm liking that one cos it sounds... particularly stupid.first, he'd be the last person on earth that rejected the possibility of having as many girls as possible between the sheets at the same time plus how can embracing more styles be ignorant as opposed to desperately sticking to one type of music (dismissing any other influences) fuck knows whether that article is correct at all but if so mr. G earned the anti-john-lennon of the week award

It is true, he said it to Steve Lamacq on the 'Oasis day' thing where they ran the station and made a load of music selections on BBC 6 Music. If you go to the website you can hear him say it.
There was an interview with Andy and Gem as well, was pretty good.
