You should listen to a copy of Take That's Greatest Hits it's actually pretty good, not really my thing but my wife likes them. There are some great Garry Barlow songs- Back For Good is a classic and somehow I could imagine it as being written by Noel , its quite melodic in the style of Whatever. Add a few guitars and violins and an easy oasis tune. A good song writer is a good song writer whatever the genre.
