OASIS rocker NOEL GALLAGHER has no time for environmental campaigners because they're "hippies" who don't understand the futility in trying to save the planet. THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING IDLE guitarist wishes people with 'green' politics would accept it's impossible to convince people to overhaul their lifestyles so dramatically. He says, "Greens are f**king hippies with no place in the world. "How do you suggest we get millions of Chinese not to have a fridge? Or get millions of Americans to stop using their big, stupid cars. "I haven't got a car so I'm doing my bit for the environment."

I think Noel's got a point about environmentalists here. Most of the leftist green movement is directed against Western countires, the US in particular, and these countries are only a small, and decreasing fraction of the world population. Fact is the uncivilized and third world countries don't pay much heed to these environmentalists, and they are the ones with the fastest growth rates. Since Europeans unwillingly to actually reproduce themselves there are far more immediate concerns to worry about, like what will England look like when it is a majority Muslim country. Those green wankers should ponder that.
