Like most of you, I have loved this band for many years, and I've made every effort with every ounce of my being to see Oasis play live whenever they've come to Toronto (and once in NYC). I've had VIP seats, and shit seats and decent seats and anything between in all the times I've seen them, but never have I been luck enough to be as close to the band as I was last night, and perhaps that seeps some bias into my account, but hell, its my review, so I'm allowed to be as biased as I want, so ha!
Quite simply, last night stands out as the best gig I've ever had the chance to see. The sound, the setting, the setlist, the fact that fuckin Jason Rhodes was there, hell, the list can go on as to why the gig was so massive. Yes, there were twats in the audience and scenesters who didnt deserve to be there (i was quite angered when my friend informed on the number of ppl out in the hall getting a drink and chillin there instead of watching the movie; those coulda been seats occupied by real fans, the types of ppl who felt miserable as shit when they couldnt get tickets), but not even the twats can ruin a perfect show.
For the simple fact that 'Slide Away' and 'Listen up' were played, that show is singled out in my mind. I'm a fuckin23 year old lad and I don't give a shit, and I'm man enough to admit 'Slide Away' brought a tear to my eye. That's the power of music man, words and sounds retain their meaning and resonance and that is something that can do wonderful things. And every song played last night seemed to be done with new meaning, new purpose, but like anything relevant and true, they stayed what they always were and touched us where it mattered. 'Wonderwall' will always be beautiful and 'Married with Children' bitter as hell, but that's the beauty of it.
So yeah, great gig; a fuckin gift that we've got a perfect quality boot to enjoy for the years to follow and without any doubt in my mind the best reason for anyone to pick up a guitar.

Great Fuckin Review man. I was thier as well and it was fuckin Mega. Listen up, holy shit. I don't care what anyone says that song was given new meaning. Felt bad as shit for the real fans that got shut. We could 've used some more full on Oasis fans though. No one was singing along and some people where acutally sitting down. Was totally disappointed that no one seized the oppurtuinity to sing along to such belters as DLBIA, Whatever or even TIOBI. Man was I pissed, when I thought of the real fans that would've given their left nut to see that show. And some idiots kept screaming stupid shit at Noel, who handled it all with grace. All in all the greatest show i've ever been to and i'll ever be at. A great privillage to see the greatest rock'n'roll band ever. A truly magical evening

Has anyone reviewed Lord Don't Slow Me Down yet?
From what I've heard it sounds a bit pedestrian.
EDIT: Never mind, I've found the thread. It is.

BEST night of my life! ;D although i was a bit overwhelmed to be that close to noel - had a big stupid grin on my face all night... i'm GLAD everyone wasn't singing through the whole show; i wanted to hear noel, not a bunch of drunken lunatics! i DON'T understand people sitting though.... some pics:
