Saw this on Tv, mouthed Noel Gallagher is a coward to reporters: Soccer star-turned-actor Anthony LaPaglia has slammed Oasis lead singer Noel (Liam?  ) Gallagher for making fun of his Sydney Football Club and the Australian game. According to contactmusic.com, Gallagher was recently at a Socceroos match in Australia and was not impressed at all and called the country's soccer efforts "s**t." His comment upset LaPaglia, who has taken it personally. He says: "Was he sober when he said that? When was the last time he had a number one hit anyway? He obviously didn't watch too much of the World Cup because I thought the Australians were tremendous. "They certainly earned the respect of the football world and the people who count. The funny thing is, Anthony LaPaglia is Australian. Yet he puts on American accents in all his work (films, TV). But I saw him in an Aussie film recently, PLAYING AN AUSTRALIAN, and his Australian accent was shit! He sounded rubbish! How can this be, if he is actually from Australia. Maybe he has just been in America too long - what a sad state of affairs.
Oh yeah, and he played an Englishman on Frasier, Daphne's brother. Although she spoke with a ridiculous, broad Northern accent, he played her brother AS A COCKNEY!

Can't remember when oasis and Australia were mentioned so much in the same breath. This is brilliant, oasis don't sell here as this country is so fickle and in general has rubbish music.
Terry Butcher the coach of Sydney United is probaly going to be sacked this weekend- they have to beat (yawn) Perth-is anyone interested- I'm not.. Glad I have Foxtel to watch the Premiership.
