You havent missed much but Phonics played too, didn't they? Yeah they were good. The Who are on now. Whiteys brother is playing drums in place of Zak. How ironic is that!

if they-wait, when they release a dvd of this concert it better have all the performances from all the sows on it. i'm afraid they'd cut out something like the tragically hip in favour of annie lennox or some shit

i missed a lot i'm watching it on BBC and the Dutch TV right now. You havent missed much He fucking has... everyone did their best for the right cause. They have just finished the show. Some played better, some worse, but it doesnt really matter. Live 8 is history, but shame oasis didnt play. It is a big mistake i believe and no excuses will deny that fact Sorry.........

Thought the performances were pretty good, though the USA coverage was shit (they went to adverts during pink floyd!)
Highlights:
Sgt. Peppers Bittersweet Symphony (wow) Green Day Snoop Dogg (haha, what a fuckin dude) The Cure playing one hundred years Joss Stone for being amazingly good looking Floyd
The Shit: USA Coverage Most of the Philly show Mariah Carey

I just meant that there wasnt that many bands or artists who I was that interested in seeing, I didnt mean the cause of the whole thing. But in saying that, Im kinda glad Oasis didnt do it.

I went to bed at 3am (in OZ) when they had the Black Eyed Peas which I just can't stand. From what I watched Dido, Green Day and Stereophonics were standouts-Peter Doherty was an embarresment and Coldplay, the biggest band in the world (what have we come to)were boring.
They just showed a 2 hour highlights show on the main OZ channel and as a music event (not saying anything about the good cause etc just commenting on the music I saw ) what stood out from the limited coverage I saw in OZ was that it was an overwelmingly ancient rock star show, where was the new talent? If you were one of Bob Geldof's contempories you got a spot. I mean Duran Duran, Annie Lennox, REM, Brian Wilson, Elton John, Sting, George Michael, Stevie Wonder, Zuchuro, Madonna, U2,The Who, Pink Floyd, Paul Macartney .They were good undoubtedly, yes, but all ancient.

us lot at the oasis gig went mental when they put ashcroft and coldplay's bittersweet syphony performance on the big screens in beetween the supports, would rather they left live 8 on the listen to the fucking bees.. shittest band ever
