Sorry not about oasis but watching Live 8 here in OZ. So far major embarresment factor has to be Pete Doherty with Elton John-Oh Dear, felt really sorry for him, he looked out of his head and forgot the word for most of the time. Richard Ashcroft with Coldpaly was a little better but dissapointion.

Yes just shown phonics, very good. I saw U2 and they were a little dull. Surleu oasis could have done it as its quite early on in the UK and they will be playing tonight-Big mistake...

noel made some excuse about it. something about their management assuring them they couldnt do it. but i bet they could have done it if it was important to them...
and i dunno. i love oasis to pieces, but id only want them to play on the condition that they believed in what they were doing it for. and apparently not, considering noels comments in the press lately

lol! i was just gonna write that. im excited to see noel in it its a bit quite diabolical cos he DID say he didnt think that live8 is gonna make much of a difference. well, its still good to see he's doing his bit even if he is a bit skeptical - which is understandable considering the size of the challenge this event is trying to address

Noel said he would have played early in the set, but the organisers wanted U2 and Coldplay first because they're more important, therefore Oasis couldn't do it.

i made my comment based on what he said in the interview from manchester evening news, adn if you did too - i think it was more that he assumed that, then actually actively asking the organsiers and them rejecting oasis and telling them 'sorry, coldplay and U2 are more important'
ha! id liked to have seen that, well really, liams response to that =P
in any case, im content with noel just beign in that list of celebrities doing that finger clicking thing =)

First time he's done Pepper? Not likely. He's been playing Pepper in one form or another in concert since 1989 (lately - 2002 and onward- he's been only playing the Reprise, tho).
So far I've been pretty dang impressed with it all, but maybe I'm just easliy impressed :-p

Supposedly it's the first time he's ever performed it, even The Beatles didn't do it live. His words and Bono's words, not mine.

My favourite band so far have been Velvet Revolver, not because I like them or anything, but because the look of sheer bewilderment on the face of most of the crowd when they were playing. ;D
