British rockers KASABIAN are thrilled to be supporting their idols OASIS on their forthcoming North American tour.
The road trip - which kicks off at General Motors Place in Vancouver, Canada on 8 July (05) - will see CLUB FOOT foursome Kasabian preceding the LYLA rockers and Australian band JET.
Frontman TOM MEIGHAN says, "To us it meant the world.
"If it wasn't for Oasis, BLUR, SUPERGRASS, RADIOHEAD or bands like that, we wouldn't be here.
"I take my hat off. And to go on tour with them - it's wonderful, it's our heroes, man.
"They ruled the 90s, no comes near them you know?
"I know they're getting old, but their still doing their thing and people can slag them, or do whatever they want and they can say, 'Oh they're s**t' but you can't really f**k with OASIS, no matter what they do."

Kasabian are godammn right. How the fuck Robbie Williams got into the hall of fame for the 90's still beats me.

Kasabian are godammn right. How the fuck Robbie Williams got into the hall of fame for the 90's still beats me. That was an absolute fucking crime, man. Did anyone else who watched that shite notice that when they showed Nobhead Williams nomination video that about 5% of it was pre 2000? It showed Knebworth and went on about Escapology or whatever its called, AND HIS FUCKING 'SWING' ALBUM!! That was after 2000! He did fuck all before the millenium, he just sat on his fat arse moaning. So how can he be nominated for the hall of fame for the 90's!? It was all voted by squares as far as I care! Mind you, the rest of it was pretty spot on from what I can remember (The Stones for the 60's). |

Terrible by British public. Actually......looking back now......yeah, you're right. I would only agree on 2 of them, The Stones and Wacko. Well, what can I say...........too much alcohol!? My memory has gone to shit, man! How it should have been IMO: 90's = Oasis, obviously 80's = Wacko 70's = Tough one......but I would have to say Bowie 60's = The Stones 50's = Couldn't give a shit as long as it weren't Cliff! I know he was automatically voted in but there was no-one else like Elvis in the 50's. |

Agree oasis have such a groundswell of support in the Uk at least. They basically kicked started the UK from the doldrums and gave the country self confidence again and they will forever be thanked for that.
