please  the killers will be in the bargain bin in 5 years whilst OASIS are selling out WEMBLEY..THESE new bands are all alike they make a great or good debut cause its all there best songs they ever wrote then they cant follow it up ..for every coldplay that can actually make good music for more than 1 lp there are tons that cant, and listening to the killers i put them in the ladder group not the exception like a coldplay or a u2 or a OASIS |

That quote is ridiculous because the lead singer of the Killers, Brandon Flowers, is reported to have been an Oasis show of his hometown, in Las Vegas, and at that moment was when he decided he wanted to be in a band...now he's saying the band that started his career will need to be rejunevated by him? The Killers are just doing their own "Oasis style" snub...which if you remember the boys did and continue to do.....that shit works with dumb music fans who think arrogance means credibility, talent and everything else.
I give them credit for it..shows some balls (it's an extremely misguided and inaccurate assertion though)

killers are extremely snobby - like laim still is - but noel addmits to fully talkin shite back in the day (if you tell everyone that ur the best band in the world, half might beleive you). i like the killers, but they did an interveiw on a northern irish radio station and the interveiwer said afterwards that they were just snobby ignorant and felt as if they deserved everything they got
like at least laim would have a bit of banter and be friendly (make trade fair told me hes a top bloke) but brendon apperently is a stuck up arsehole - the man wears miscara - what more needs said

The Killers are just trying to enter that "elite" group of top 5 bands in the world type group.....
They probably think slagging off Oasis and other former "top 5 type" bands is a kind of affirmation that they've made it to that level, both to themselves and the media.
Their album was pretty goddamn good though..

oh man they do suck live. did you see that saturday night live performance? brandon had his hand in his pocket while singing-cappily i might add-and playing the piano with the other hand. then near the end of the song he started shouting the lyrics. it was ridiculous.
i like the killers record though. i always thought all these things that ive done would have made a great oasis song.
as for this new song theyve gots it probly just steals the riff from cigs and alcohol or the hindu times

the Killers suck live. Good studio band, but they can't get it done live.....that's a big problem. never heard them live, how bad are they? Their music doesn't come off very well live. There's no real stage presense I find. They're quite dull to watch. It's not like seeing Oasis or any other "big" band. |

Oasis!!!! as for the comment, he's an idiot!!!!! agreed. i was quite suprised by their album, but maybe that isnt such an impressive feat as i wasnt expecting much. but yeah, i like it a lot. and yeah, im gonna wait for the new album before deciding whether i like them or not it was a dodgy comment, but i suppose he is trying to copy liam or something. i know oasis are still pretty damn big, but considering he is coming from america he kinda has a point. although a badly timed point cos oasis seemed to have revived the interest of some americans with the release of DBTT (well according to press articles anyway) |
