OASIS PUZZLED BY US DEMAND OASIS are stunned to discover they are still in demand in America, and as popular as in their mid 1990s heyday.
Fans are clamouring for tickets for the band's US comeback at New York's Madison Square Garden on 22 June (05) - and songwriter NOEL GALLAGHER is baffled because they thought they'd blown their chances of success stateside.
Noel says, "Our guy over there is saying the demand to see the band is higher than what it was than when we had the number two album in the charts, which I can't fathom that out."
"We blew it a couple of times pretty seriously. So this time we said there's no point banging our head against a brick wall, let's go out so some amazing venues. It's going to be really f**king interesting."

You have to realise that us Americans don't give a shit about how bad the stuff is that you do. Because that just makes us want to see more.

I know that if you try too much to please the US (and the Aussies!) then they will smell desperation and back off. It seems that the desperation has gone and it seems a lot more relaxed-it feels good this time!!

Well, step one to pleasing this US fan would be to play a longer gig. I just want two hours. I mean, when I went to see Bruce Springsteen SOLO a couple weeks ago, he played for almost three hours. When he has a full band, it's longer than three. Ryan Adams plays for 2.5-3 hours, Bowie plays for two hours, and I could go on and on. I have never been to see a big band that played less than two hours. How hard could it be? It's like they have 18 songs that they're gonna play until they hit that 90 minutes mark and then they're off work for the day. I don't get it. But now I'm just ranting.

i think part of the reason they are more eager to please is that gem and andy bring a much more professional feel to the band , with boney and guigs it was a great party but i think liam and noel respect gem and andy too much to not give it a proper try

I agree with all of the above mentioned. You guys might laugh, but I think Oasis will be on the cover of RollingStone in the near future and it'll read:
Believe the Truth; Oasis, The brothers Gallagher set to conquer America, again.
