I bought tickets for the MSG gig and now i find myself in the predicament of actually going to NY. Havent been there since I was a kid, so I have no clue bout areas with decent hotels and such. Does anyone have any pointers on where I could find some affordable ones, or a site i could check for some decent deals. On the plus, I get to see at least 2 Oasis gigs within the span of a few days (june 17th in TO, hopefully i can get into the kool haus gig still as well, and now NY!). But yea, my madferrit-ness overlooked the notion of accomodations for the trek....lil help?

Asif- you can look back in the Don't Believe the Truth section and find numerous posts regarding places to stay in threads related to MSG.
I would suggest going to a hotels.com type of site and searching by criteria you are looking for.
Any place in the city is good from midtown down to the village. West side is closer to MSG.
Hope thsi helps.

Yeah just don't go too far North Manhattan. That's where it gets iffy. You'll find LOTS of places where you can stay.

Me and the missus are taking the cheap way out... we're catching the 8:30 train to Penn Station from Boston that morning, arriving in NYC around 12:30, taking in the city for the afternoon, going to the show then taking the first train out back to Boston at 3:30 the next morning!
