Just wondered what people saw as their favourite parts of Oasis songs. 20 - 30 seconds which make the hair on ur kneck stand up! Heres my top Five at the mo:
1. Begining of Do You Know What i Mean. 2. Live Forever Guitar Solo. 3. The part which noel sings in Let Their Be Love 4. The white noise and opening guitar sound in Cigs&Alcohol. 5. Opening verse of C.Supernova.

the solo in c.s. , the famous part. when the na na na nas come in. and how the rest of the band sounds like a wave crashing up unto the shore.
the start of turn up the sun
when ggtia explodes in the end
the mental solo/bridge in gas panic with the people talking in the background
the toilet flush in the end of be here now
the 'come on come on' and 'yea yea yeas' at the end of columbia
the corus to the hindu times

the part of whatever where the violins come in
the harmonica solo part in round are way
let there be love where noel comes in in the chorus
the last minute of idlers dream
the live (ftm) version of cigs and alc that blends into "whole lotta love"
every "part" of fitb
the guitar solo in dlbia.... chills... every time
the very beginning of don't go away with the stick clicks and the opening guitar part
dykwim with almost a japanese-sounding background violin line
the very first guitar chord in columbia after the drum beats at the beginning
when noel comes in on the chorus in acquiesce

i forgot the end bit of idlers Dream, good call. it turned a seemingly average song to a good one.

Supersonic: "You need to be yourseeelf.." and the looping guitar solo and handclaps at the end that just go on and on and I never want to finish.
Some Might Say: When Liam and Noel swap vocals at the end ("You know what some might say/Some might say") They always look like The Beatles or something doing that. Especially on The White Room in '95.
Guess God Thinks I'm Abel: "No one can break us, no one can take us - if we try" then the la, la, la bits. Awesome song, has to be a single.
Lyla: "... and every song and city far and neeeaaar." The sneer is back.
Stop Crying Your Heart Out: The sweeping violins before the last two choruses. Great melodrama, tugs the old heart strings every time.
Live Forever: Noel's guitar solo, the one Owen Morris said he cut down from about five minutes - LOL.
Champagne Supernova: Towards the end when the music dies down and Liam sings: "How many special people change..." His voice has never sounded better.
Wonderwall: When the rest of the band kick in on the line: "Backbeat, the word is on the street that the fire in your heart is out." Genius.
I could do a ton of these.

"Come on Baby Blue" when Noel comes in on Let There be Love The quick chord changes at the 1:30 mark of All Around the World The first "A" chord of Columbia- lifts you off your feet Guitar solos of Supersonic and Live Forever Force of Nature's guitar bend at the end of the lyrics All of Stop Crying Your Heart Out When you realize that Listen up isnt Supersonic The brief pause between the verse and chorus of Magic Pie(so much anticipation) First riff of Eyeball Tickler The start of the G chord in Who Feels Love Everytime I hear the opening of Lyla I die so that's my list there's more but that's a healthy start

theres so many
"I don't know, I don't care all i know is you can take me there" repeating it through the end of Slide Away--love it
Noel and Liam swapping at the end of Some Might Say
When Noel comes in on Let There Be Love--BEAUTIFUL!!
When the music and everything stops in Wonderwall, then picks up again within a few seconds
Lyla--after the solo when the chorus comes back in
Intro of Live Forever--drums
Oasis are such a class band--great lyrics, great sound, entertaining attitude on the parts of Noel and Liam--how can they not be liked by people, esp here in the U.S...there will never be a band like Oasis again and thus they are GONNA LIVE FOREVER!!

err...the big fuck off guitar solo during Champagne Supernova like at Budokan 98! Noel truly kisses the fucking sky! The start of Rock 'n' Roll Star. The "Come on" and "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" of Columiba. (They should never of put that on the Be Here Now track) The drumming at the start of Bring It On Down. The solo in Live Forever. The sound of the helicopters in D'you Know What I Mean?. The sneer in Lyla, as someone else has mentioned. The end of A Bell Will Ring...as it can't end quick enough for me. ;D Good thread btw.

OK I might have to do this in separate posts (if I think of any more later!!!) 1) The chorous of Champagne Supernova 2) The bridge of Sunday Morning Call (especialy the part RIGHT BEFORE Noel sings the chorous for the last time!) 3) The chorous of Stop Crying Your Heart Out 4) The chorous of She's Electric from the Finsbury Park bootleg when I swear you can hear the ENTIRE U.K. singing along 5) The "No one can break us" part of Guess God Thinks I'm Abel (with the "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhs" in the background 6) "And as I close my eyes and the sky turns red I realise just what you are" IDLER'S DREAM 7) The bridge of YGTHOAS 8) Noel's background vocals on Roll With It ("Which your life will drive, Slip insiiiiiiide", "not behind the door") 9) The chorous of Keep The Dream Alive 10) Noel's background vocals of Keep The Dream Alive (Second verse, "Everynight I Hear you scream...") There might be more, lemme think about it!
