I dunno if its been posted already, however oasis top the survey on xfm...
Xfm's Clash Of The Titans - The Results
We asked you, the Xfm listeners, to vote which out of the new singles from Oasis, The White Stripes, Foo Fighters and Coldplay was the best in our Clash Of The Titans. Now we have the results.
Four of the world's biggest and best bands are releasing huge comeback singles in the coming weeks and we're playing them all here on 104.9 Xfm.
Of the new songs, Oasis were first out of the gates with 'Lyla' [listen] followed by The White Stripes and 'Blue Orchid' [listen]. Then we played Coldplay's 'Speed Of Sound' [listen] for the first time, and finished up with the Foo Fighters and their comeback single 'Best Of You' [listen].
So to find out what you thought of them, we set up one of our biggest ever Xfm Online votes and asked you to let us know which was the best. And these were the results.
Oasis - They've still got it, so let's 'ave it 46%
Coldplay - Still the biggest, still the greatest 22%
Foo Fighters - They R.O.C.K. like no other 18%
White Stripes - Modern electric blues masters 15%
For most of the week, the figures were neck and neck. But in the end, Oasis bludgeoned into the lead with an amazing 46%. And the e-mails we received reflected that. "Since 94 the greatest band is... Oasis' said Jesse B, "Oasis will reclaim their crown" declared Declan Murphy while Bob Speke simply reckoned, Oasis are "Still the most important Rock & Roll group!"
But we also asked which of these four mighty rock behemoths would be the best performers at their festivals appearences in the UK during the summer. And you said this...
Oasis - V2005 Festival 46%
Coldplay - Glastonbury 22%
Foo Fighters - Reading & Leeds Weekender 20%
White Stripes - Glastonbury 11%
Once again, despite some very strong voting from Coldplay fans, Oasis won the day. It seems even a dodgy show at last year's Glastonbury can't shake people's faith in Noel and Liam's mob.
Why the fuck somebody has diss oasis in spite of the support they've got! XFM twats had to add:
It wasn't all positive feedback from Xfm listeners for Oasis though. "Coldplay rock! 'Lyla' sounds like a cross between The Stones' 'Street Fighting Man' and something from The Who! Nothing original from the Gallagher boys this time!" said Jeannie Rau, while Pete White wrote to say "Oasis are crap. They were good in the beginning, but since then their music is always the same old shit. Coldplay are good but tedious. Foo Fighters rock, but the White Stripes rock more!"
Tell you what... oasis is not fashionable, fair enough. Who gives a fuck... that only goes to show what a pain in the neck oasis are for some people. Coldplay...next big thing...most adored band, whitestripes...sensation - that's what they keep tellin us. Still oasis pisses all over them!!!!
XFM! See for yourselves what people want to listen!
GOOD JOB ALL YOU OASIS MADFERRRRIITSSSS

I love the way 'Oasis' gives a big black eye to a poll that was probably started at XFM to put a nail in Oasis' coffin and it backfired!!!
Oasis Army!
