How much different is this version from the version on The Masterplan? Which version do you think is better. btw-If anyone would be willing to give it to me, send me a pm as well. Only Oasis B-Side I don't have and the single is almost 30 bucks on Amazon and I'm not paying that for one song I don't have.

It's very different. The Warchild version is acoustic, Noel sings it with Liam and some other people doing backing vocals, and it's a bit slower than the Masterplan version. It's very good though. I like them both.

If this is the only b-side you need, look for a used copy of the actual Warchild help album. They can usually be found pretty cheap, and there are some other good tunes on it as well. PM me if you still need the song.

warchild is a good version, Liam singing backup to Noel cracks me up, but it doesn compare to the b-side original, those ringing A-chords during the intro is prolly my all-time favorite oasis moment in a song...

I think both versions of the song are top draw. It's quite amazing how a song can be played so differentley. The pure punk version by Liam and then the slow almost philosophical acoustic version by Noel. Actually there was a time when Noel's version was my Oasis fave.
btw, Noel does an awesome live acoustic performance of Fade Away in Blackpool 1995.
If anyone wants it just PM me and i'll upload it and send it to whoever.

Yep. He also played on Fade In-Out on Be Here Now. He is/was a good pal of the band, Noel in particular. They met through Kate Moss who was dating Depp at the time and is/was a pal of Meg Matthews.

I actually really like the Warchild version where Liam sings backing vocals to Noel. It sounds really cool, it's a shame that they haven't (to date) tried this on any actual Oasis albums. Is a nice counterpoint to the usual way they do it, something (even now) new.
And the electric version is fucking ace, for completely different reasons. ;D
