fantastic album - its getting better man gets repetive though

Yeah it is a great track, Although Fade in out is my fave track of that album, pure rock n roll genius. BHN is one of the most underrated albums of all time, Even though the critics hailed it as "Brilliance" "Genius" when it first came out, So when mags like NME and Q changed the review and score of the album later on all there credibility went out the window in my eye's. So fuck magazine opinions make your own, after all your the one listening to it cheers doggboy |

i think stand by me,is a good of a ballad as they have ever done..granted its a bit long a bit overproduced but there are top songs there

Be Here Now is better than SOTSOG and HC because they are utter shite.
Be Here Now suffers BADLY for two reasons:
Overproduction
Shite Lyrics
Songs like The Girl In A Dirty Shirt could have been so much better if they didn't have about 5 choruses at the end. As it stands I like only a few songs on Be Here Now:
Dyer Know What I Mean
Magic Pie
Fade In/Out
I find the rest a bit underwhelming.

Be Here Now is so good. The problem was they were too arrogant for their own good and it was too bloated. But I still love the album. The problem isn't that the lyrics were bad, it's just they didn't really have anything to say.
Definitely Maybe, while not poetic-- they had the world to say.
The music is still top, I love the loudness, still a fun album.
SOSOG is tied with it in my eyes. It has some brilliant tracks. Three mediocre/shite tracks that if repalced by b-sides would have made it brilliant.
HC was them just trying too hard to capture what they "lost" It wasn't natural, and didn't flow. It was good, but not good for Oasis.

....ing In The Bushes, and Go Let It Out are wicked but I think that SOTSOG as a sparse emptiness that I don't particuarly like.
Songbird is the only good song on HC, the rest are rubbish.

but somedays i love the song BHN...and of course SBM is just a classic Oasis song, i dont think it's one of the 4 best tho

Like they didn't get enough shit for ripping off the Beatles, Noel had to start throwing out pearls like that. Plus the end of that song is a wholesale regurgitation of the end of Columbia. Noel, and by extension the band, had just run out of ideas. For me, DBTT is a much better record than BHN. JMO. |
