On the Jo whiley(Sara cox standing in) show today she read out a questionaire that they get the person(s) responsible for the record of the week to answer(In this case obviously the foo's newen) , 1 of the questions was favourite record of the moment and Dave answered Lyla by Oasis ;D Not a big fan of the foo's to be honest but he must have some good musical taste deep within the love for the god awful and aptly named "Garbage" and the grossly overrated "Queens of the stone age"! don't slag the foo fighters, plus the only reason he likes QOTSA is because he drummed on the first album, he's fantastic drummer i might add

I don't hate them at all, i just think there a tad overrated(by the likes of jo whiley and so on), they've done some decent tracks especially "Everlong" but i think there albums are terrible , One by One was complete pap IMO(The track "Times Like these" apart). I enjoyed the track walking after you from the X Files movie where he actually sung and did'nt shout for 3 mins!. There new albums gonna be intriguing though 1cd Rock 2nd cd Acoustic  that should be worth a listen to see what they come up with? As i said i don't hate them, just not my cup of tea thats all! you've honestly got to be shitting me. I guess the when the coldplay bash-fest gets old we move on to the foo fighters. people should be thankful someone else besides oasis still manufacture something called rock n roll. the foo fighters are a fine band. the new single absolutely wails. jesus.

The first two albums are good as well. The Foo's are great, their first album is classic and The Colour and the Shape is phenomanal. Also QOTSA are definitely not overratted. Listen to their album Rated R, its top, they rock but its not the whiny rock that most American bands offer in their albums. At least its melodic.
Also I think its cool that Grohl is smart enough to recognize Oasis as a great band. The Greatest actually.

Dave Grohl has ALWAYS been a fan of Oasis which is pretty cool. i've heard and read many interviews where he mentions Oasis as one of his favorite bands
