Liam's method of singing screwed up his voice I think. Noel did plenty of drugs and smoked too. He sounds better than ever because he took care of his voice. Liam just screwed up his vocal chords.

good point, Noel did as much smoking and drinking as Liam, yet his voice his great, i think Liams is ragged from all the touring they do and his singing style
plus our kid was just a kid when they recorded Definitely Maybe and WTSMG

good point, Noel did as much smoking and drinking as Liam, yet his voice his great, i think Liams is ragged from all the touring they do and his singing style i think his posture also had a lot to do with it. i've tried singing like that, and it's even worse than when i sing regularly!  |

It's funny...I am not certain obviousley, but you'd think Liam and Noel done the same about of boozing, smoking and taking drugs and they have both got older at the same rate and Noel is actually a few years older than Liam but Noel's voice has improved and got warmer while Liams has deteriated! Go figure! |

Noel smokes his fair share of cigarettes too. During the webcast on Friday, he lit up several times in that two hour span. I also wonder whether Liam does any vocal warmups before performing. On one of the dvd documentaries for one of the Heathen Chemistry singles, he said that he doesn't really do any warmups before a gig except for playing his guitar. Singing for an extended period of time without a warmup can harm your voice, and I can't imagine what it would do to someone like Liam that sings the way that he does and puts so much stress on his vocal chords.

and it's a shame about his posture and all that, too stubborn to do waht's best for him - but if he were the kind of person who did look out for that kind of thing, he'd be a totally different person
