'Track by Track'

1. Turn Up The Sun
It was written by Andy and its always been the first track. A bit like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. A stomper.

2. Mucky Fingers
Imagine Bob Dylan singing Waiting For The Man - with that kind of frantic drmbeat all the way through.

3. Lyla (as if you need to know by now!)
Our poppiest thing since Roll With It. Annoyingly catchy and sounds a bit like The Who.

4. Love Like A Bomb
One of Liams. It starts of acoustic and Martin Duffy from Primal Scream plays this kind of country piano solo, which brings it somewhere else.

5. The Importance Of Being Idle
A cross between The Kinks and The La's, about being a lazy fucker. I spent a lot of last summer just sitting around the house doing nothing, really impressed by my lack of drive.

6. The Meaning Of Soul
Like Elvis on crack. Zaks playing a box of Weetos with two wooden spoons. We played it at Glastonbury like The Stooges, but kept the Elvis '56 vibe for the record.

7. Stop The Clocks
A song thats been around for a long, long time. But it might not make it. Theres a bit of a debate going on at the moment.

8. Part Of The Queue
One of mine with a weird 3/4 rhythm thats a bit Shack-doing-Love. The idea came to me in a queue in a fucking supermarket in the West End. All I wanted was a pack of Rizla.

9. Keep The Dream Alive
A song by Andy that sounds like The Stone Roses. You can imagine Reni playing the drums and Ian waving his mic.

10. Guess god Thinks Im Able
A Liam tune thats kind of slowish and acoustic. The drums dont come in till the last 10 seconds and it finishes in a hail of feedback.

11. A Bell Will Ring
Gem wrote it and its the closest anybodys ever got to sound like Revolver. We did it live and its kind of all one chord.

12. Let There Be Love
Its taken me eight and a half years to write. We both sing, like The Self Righteous Brothers. Its a fitting anthem to finish off the record.
