Ok i've come to the conclusion that the whole album leaking/4 leaked tracks is a marketing ploy on behalf of sony, why you ask? well all the tracks are really quiet and most of the tracks if not all have some kind of errors on them. Now i ain't no expert but if these were ripped from a promo album then id imagine the promo cd would be of high(cd) quality therefor so would the rip?, we've all ripped some audio cd's to create mp3's so we know how easy it is to do that and a straight on the fly copy would be no different. And if there was an album leak out there it would be all over the place in a matter of hours. It's definitley created a massive buzz now with all the press keeping it in peoples faces of late. All we need now on the publicity front is for Liam to kick off in some club ala heathen chemistry release. Cheers doggboy10

not a bad theory...i dont think the real meaning of soul would have those annoying clicks at the beginning (metronome?!?!)...i think you might be right though we will never know and all bad quality tracks would do is discourage the mainstream altogether

This is why they reckon the sound quality is generally poor and there are those clicks on MOS.

However, leaking really isn't a bad publicity stunt. Radiohead sold tons of copies of Kid A in America due to the leak. It's a great way to spread music. Most people don't download entire albums.

i find it difficult to believe that oasis would consent to something like that.
i think there is enough hype around this record, and enough good reviews w/o sony having to resort to purposefully leaking songs, is my opinion

The leak wasn't on purpose. Someone at Sony got fired because of the leak. That's all I can say about this.
