Lyla is set to be the #1 most played song at KROQ this week. For those that don't know, KROQ is arguably the most influential radio station in the U.S. While KROQ's main site hasn't been updated yet, you can get daily updates at the post below--it displays the day's most requested, and the KROQ playlist. 106point7kroq.tripod.com/playlist.htmlAlso, it is important to keep voting to keep Oasis at #1. It takes 2 seconds and you can do it often. www.kroq.com/request/

You know what? I'm happy about this-- but fuck these guys!!!! Where have they been for the last 3 albums! ? I mean, for those of us in America-- anytime someone asks you who your fav band is and you say OASIS, people are like-- oh those two brothers? The Wonderwall people? Like WTF? 3 albums later, arbitrarily suddenly they like Oasis again? Screw these radio stations.

Where does it say what is most played? See my first link on the first post. It updates daily (the main KROQ site lags way behind).

That is HUGE for their success in America!!! Well not quite yet. It takes a while for anything popular in California to seep into the rest of the country, and it won't necessarily get the same reaction. I mean, people in the South are still listening to 80's hair bands and country music, so that gives you an idea of how different the music scene varies from one place to another.

I am always amazed to see how long it takes a single to reach its peak with the general public. For instance, The Killer's Somebody Told Me became a national hit about 10 mos after it started getting play in L.A. People are slow and need to be spoon-fed.

I agree that the ripple effect might take a while to permeate the rest of the country, but this is still great news. As for those of you who are angry at the radio stations, now's not the time to get indignant. Just keep supporting the boys so people who aren't exposed to Oasis may discover their favorite band!!
