I think it's a bit absurd but I'm wondering what others think AND what is normal not only for oasis but other bands as well - my radio station is going to play the new coldplay on april 17th and their album doesn't come out until june 7th? so maybe it isn't that abnormal....(I think I remember noel saying the distance was a bit ridiculous at one point but I might be wrong)

i'm surprised that in an era where album leaks are so common they would wait this long. The single seems like such a long time, not to mention the album.
It should be single out 2 weeks ago. Album out in 1st week of May

I think every band, artist, group etc. release their single way in advance before the album, just to create some buzz and to allow the masses to hear their song. I don't think a single being released so far in advance before an album hurts the album sales or the sales of the single.

I don't think a single being released so far in advance before an album hurts the album sales or the sales of the single. True dat, but one can also peek too soon in the creation of buzz. Chances for this are increased with such a long long time before the release. I don't know, just a thought...

Fookin 'hell, back to the fifties that is! Why is it the music industry is so concerned with mp3's and all that while I never heard the porn bizz complain?
