For me I'm just happy to see a new face behind the drumkit. Alan was growing stale but nothing should be taken away with regards to his drumming. I do however think that Zak is very passionate when he drums. Listening to Glasto and the new single...I mean, man- he sounds like he's gonna put a hole through the skins! VERY ROCK!

maketradefair please don't assert without argument - it's very rude - i don't mind people saying "you're wrong b/c..." but a simple "no!" is irritating
as for the comments about "have you ever SEEN Zac play" and he LOOKS really good in the video - that's my point - i'm sure visually he's impressive and all but taht's only one facet of being a good drummer - the most important one I think isn't how Hard he hits them -( put mics on your drums (just as you don't need a loud singer anyway) so it's not how visually impressive you are that is important to me for drummers - but how GOOD you are b/c i mean i'm only going to see him plya liveonce in the next few years probably but i'm going to hear the record - i dunno hundreds of times

Zak's phenomial at the skins. That's what comes from having Ringo Starr and Keith Moon as your teachers

do you think zak could record DLBIA or Wonderwall? definitely not. Whitey was a great drummer in the studio and was a hundred times better that starkey on stage. For those people saying that Oasis are not about the rhythm section and only about the guitars, noel always said that when he had written a song he played it to whitey then he changed the rhythm of the song or told noel to change the tempo. he had his very own style and that made him different from all the rest of the rock'n'roll drummers, and i believe deep inside you will miss whitey when they start playing songs like supersonic, dlbia, cs... I also think zak can do a great job in the band but after listening to lyla I dunno what to think

do you think zak could record DLBIA or Wonderwall? definitely not. I completley agree. There is no way Zak coulda played those mad of-kilter beats on those two songs the way Alan did. Alan put his own mark on those two songs. When Zak played them are Glastonbury last year, the songs just didnt sound the same. Zak is obviously a very good drummer, there is no question of that, but for me, he's just not got the same groove as Alan. Anyway, Zaks not gonna be playing the UK gigs, Terry Kirkbride is.

whitey was awful in the stuido. all he did was the 3 tom fill. thats all he could do. the only song he was good at playing was my generation (live). and it doesnt take a genuis to play any of this studio stuff. its a gift.

He doesnt sound awfull to me on Wonderwall and DLBIA. Like I say, there is no way Zak coulda played those songs like that. People will be saying Zak's a better drummer than Reni next...

Alright, I started this... but don't assume that I don't know the difference between Reni and everyone else!

Whitey, to me had an uncanny ability to make slower songs like DLBIA seem faster, Zaks style almost ruined DLBIA for me listenin to the Glastonbury gig. His style also made CS just plod along, sounded crap to me. Can anyone imagine Zak keeping the 16th beat going on the high hat on Go Let It Out? Personally I cant. Maybe Zak is great in his own right, but I miss Whitey's finesse behind the drums. I hope he knows this too.

I miss Whitey's finesse behind the drums. this is what is all about. that finesse that was so characteristic of the oasis sound.

Bonham is god dude . And Whitey is " just" a great drummer. I'm sure White is ver well at the moment. His brother said that Alan is very healthy, keeping very well without a being in a band from which he was tired and that probably he'll try something soon. like rejoining Oasis... just kidding, but surely it would be very nice.
