MTV is pleased to announce that 'Oasis' will join us in studio at 10 p.m. on Thursday evening for a special live performance of their brand new single, 'Lyla' from their upcoming album entitled 'Don't Believe The Truth'.
Here is the schedule for this evening:
10:00 - 'Lyla' video
10:10 - 'Lyla' (live)
10:20 - Interview with the band

it may happen. What's the point anyway? I for one couldn't care less if nobody new likes Oasis. As long as they make music I'm happy with it. I don't really want 14 year old girls liking Oasis.

I dont care if 14 yr olds follow oasis or not, but it would be nice to see them on tv, see what noel has to say about this and that, news on the band, videos, etc. |

but they always give them a bad wrap.....and put them down its not right every band has there label and oasis always gets the wonderall or C.S. or even the battling Gallagher brothers....its stupid how MTV in the US does that  |

It wasn't even a very good hoax, why would you play a video then have a live performance of the same song immediately after it?

If Oasis were a more "serious" band I'd agree with you, and I wouldn't like to have a bunch of parents at the concerts and that, but it wouldn't be all bad. Some 14 year olds are pretty cool and it would make me feel sort of younger to share the interest, you know? And they wouldn't just be getting 14 year old girls, by the way. They'd be getting college girls too . . . you see where I'm going with this, playa?  |

You have to be up in the wee hours to see them but they are still on there . . .
But if they want to be a lifestyle network instead of a music one that's fine with me . . . we're probably just another 5-10 years way from when there'll be a billion channels to choose from and they won't be the only game in town anymore.
