It's a crime and Let there be Love are the same song from the demos that first surfaced around the release of SOTSOG Apparently, Noel reworked this song and everyone that has heard it has claimed it was the best (or at least one of the best) oasis songs ever. and solm8 i would disagree with you when you say that groups should release their best song first. imo lf, columbia and sa were the best songs on dm lf was the third single and the other two were never released as a-sides. sms and rwi were the first two singles off wtsmg but ww, cs, dlbia were all argualbly better then the first two releases. British Columbia baby! A big three thumbs up from me! Haven't heard sa, ww, cs, or dlbia. But let me get this joint down first and I'll reread this post and see if it makes sense then, okay? I think you're like 8 hours ahead of me in terms of getting high. Too bad that when I get there you'll be passed out. |

IMO
Lyla is a good tune! its different, liams voice is as good as ever and the song sounds fresh! the new album is gonna be brilliant!

Too bad Oasis quit the drugs and alcohol. -.- yeah! noel must suck if he decides to take a little bit more care of himself? maybe its just me but i'd think it was sad if noel still carryied on liek he was 26 when he is now nearing 40. and i dont care how DBTT does commerically and neither should you. there are multiudes of shite songs released that make it big in the US and stuff that are COMPLETE and UTTER rubbish!! 50 cent and all that crap.......so if the new album doesnt go down well with that crowd who fuckin cares ! if they dont have the patience to listen to Lyla and realise its a good song well its their loss. im not worried, oasis have enough of a large loyal fanbase so its not as if DBTT has to sell like 15 million copies in order for them to get another contract and keep recording if you dont like lyla, which you are totally entitled to not like, dotn automatically assume everyone else will ahte it too. as evidence here, a lot of us do. |

Ok. I like the song but must admit I was a little dissapointed at first but it has grown on me.
Personally I think we need to apply some scale to everything. Is "great" the best? Or is fucking tops better than that?
If Lyla is great, Live Forever, Supersonic, Rockin Chair, Acqueisce and The Masterplan (just to name a handfull) are way better and therefore fucking tops.
The bottom line is Oasis will always be Oasis and the real fans will always love them and find something to appreciate in their music, no matter what direction they take.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Without America, we would not have the guitars built by Mr. Fender, Mr. Gibson, Mr. Martin, etc. Last time I checked, Noel has been playing Gibson Les Pauls, an American made guitar.
Regardless, I respect the UK as much as I love the US. We are both great but for different reasons.
In my warped mind, I view the UK as the US's best friend.
