Noels made some new comments on the official site:
Oasisnet grabbed Noel Gallagher for five minutes earlier today to get an exclusive insight into the 11 tracks that will make up the new studio album "Don't Believe The Truth" due for release on May 30.
1. TURN UP THE SUN : It’s that epic it could’ve and should’ve been the first 3 tracks on the album!! 2. LYLA: It’s the soundtrack of our lives doing The Who on Skol in a psychedelic city in the sky (or something!) 3. MUCKY FINGERS: The result of one too many nights in the dressing room, brainwashing Gem with The Velvet Underground then thinking “Fuck it! Dylan rules!” 4. LOVE LIKE A BOMB: Songbird’s bigger, far more interesting brother. One for the ladies, as Liam says. 5. THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING IDLE: Having nothing to do is such a massive job that someone had to write a song about it. 6. THE MEANING OF SOUL: Elvis on Red Bull!! 7. GUESS GOD THINKS I’M ABEL: Up until two weeks ago, everyone thought the title was “Guess God Thinks I’m Able”!! Now everyone’s confused. 8. PART OF THE QUEUE: Doesn’t sound remotely like anything we’ve ever done before. Legendary Cuban percussionist Lenny Castro shuffles up a storm. Amazing. 9. KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE: A Song that totally does justice to the title. Will be a live staple for years to come. 10. A BELL WILL RING: Ringo’s favourite. Enough said. 11. LET THERE BE LOVE: Should’ve been the last 4 tracks on the album. It took 7 years to finish. Worth the wait?? Oh yes!!
SEVEN years for let there be love!?!?! is this "Slow" ?? Also, Lyla is defo a grower, enough already about 'sTop the clocks' or it will be a let-down AND ive got to say that im really excited about hearing a studio cut of 'the meaning of soul' -anyone esle agree?
Take it easy fellas!

i remember when noel describe 'shout it out loud' as a cross between louie louie and the sex pistols -crazy. so describing a bell will ring as being the closest anyone has ever got to revolver really dont give me any tunes. i liked the glasto version of it but i REALLY liked the live cut of meaning of soul -reckon it should be a 90 second single, now that would have been special....

hey guys, i'm new to this forum thing. but i wanted to say that "let there be love" is an old b-side that he felt was over-produced....it's not "slow". we mite hear "slow" whenever he does a solo album. and as for "stop the clocks" , i read a thing where he does mention it...it's right after "the meaning of soul" , but i guess we'll have to wait. i think he's trying to keep it a secret for as long as he can. we might all find out in the may version of Q.
- cheers !

It's not on the album, the Q issue is out and it's just the same quote as the Daily Star article which directly quoted the Q article anyway. Those comments most likely came from before the tracklisting was confirmed.

yea, it's prolly not on there. i just saw it on some tracklisting thing where he talked about it and said it was about "being around for a long time and trying to make it. a debate's going on." but i havent seen or heard anything about it anywhere else. if it's not on there then i'll have 11 songs that will make me forget about it!! lol
- cheers !

in a couple of years when we havent had any new material for ages (and knowing oasis a new album'd still be at least another 2 years away) wouldn't it be great if they released Stop The Clocks randomly?
Not gonna happen I know, but wish they did stuff like that!

Not gonna happen I know, but wish they did stuff like that! IF oasis gave us a lp every 2 years i would be over the moon ..its wat they used to do there would be no need to release stop the clocks then just put it on the next lp
