of course it will, in the uk anyway.... even if it was a ska cover of strawberry fields forever.... first single off a new album... definatley no.1. If it doesn't get to no.1 it'll be a disaster for them imo.

It's a great tune. I'm listening to it for the second time right now. Liam sounds fantastic. I remember Noel saying (KROCK i think) that there was an obvious first single that they wanted, but it had Noel singing so they went with Lyla. I have to say I enjoy when Oasis return with booming anthems (D'you know what I mean, Go Let It Out, The Hindu Times and now Lyla). This song should do alright on modern rock stations stateside, if for no other reason that KROCK new york, and KROQ LA are presenting huge summer Oasis shows. If the two biggest rock stations in the country are giving them airplay most other stations will follow suit.

The trend is - the first single always makes no. 1, since Some Might Say this is true, even if its is weak. But it is a better track than Go Let it Out and Hindu Times in my humble and minisqule opinion.

It´s definitely number one in the UK. In US..I don´t know...and here in Finland, only one radio station will be playing it so wrong

unless there is a lull of kylie minogue clones, it probably wont top the charts unless Mtv gets onto it here in OZ
