Love the new single but was very VERY dissapointed at first (usually a good sign) For the first time in years I get goosebumbs listening to a new oasis tune. If this is the 5th best from the album I can't wait..

My opinion -- it's fucking great! At first, it didn't really sound like them. It's a much cleaner mix than their usual sound. But I like it. You can tell they didn't mix it and produce it on their own, but it's a good, clean sound they've gotten out their in California.
Secondly, LIAM. Liam sounds better than he has in years. He sounds stronger than he did on Heathen Chemistry and SOTSOG. Some of the snarl is gone, but his voice is clean, and strong and sounds like he did back in the Be Here Now era -- which was always my favorite in terms of his voice.
And Noel's done it again -- it's catchy as all hell. I can definitely here the Stones and The Soundtrack Of Our Lives in there. But it's still fucking Oasis.
Anyway, the drummings a bit simplistic, but it's strong and carries the song well. No point in being fancy. And when we hear the official version, not just a radio rip, I'm sure it'll sound a lot stronger and pronounced -- as will Andy's bass.
Anyway, enough said -- HEEEEYYYYYY, LYLA!

Yes after 50 times asolutely love it. For me the magic is definetly back. Agree Liams vocals are brilliant (he is just pure gold and THE voice of rock music). I also like its simplicity, I reckon oasis went off the rails when they reacted to the supposed critisism of their nonsense lyrics (the press built them up then had to think of something to knock them down). This song is simple, not trying to be anyone else and reminds me of the early material. I can see the pubs in the UK (at least) going wild as everyone sings along to the chorus at the top of their voices. This is such a huge hit in the making. oasis are really back.
