Do you listen to it in advance? I'm going to use the Lyla single to hold me over, but I want the excitement back of buying the cd, flipping through the book and listening to it fresh. Heathen Chemistry was cool, cuz most of the tracks were played for me at a Coachella tailgate before it's release. But the album release just wasn't the same to me.

I'd download Lyla also, but it's the same for me. I really want to wait on hearing the rest until I buy it. I want that same excitement that I had with the first albums where I hadn't heard anything besides the lead off single when I buy it.

sounds good. although i have to admit id be sorely temtped to dowload it!

If Lyla has two original B-sides that'll keep me entertained until the Album comes out, just a couple of months until the album, and only 7 days until we hear Lyla on the radio!  |

I'm definitely going to download the album if it's leaked. I downloaded Heathen Chemistry when is was leaked as well. Also, the Edge (a radio station in Canada) tends to play the newly released albums in their entirety weeks before it's out.

I don't see why this is a big deal.
It's the same album, who cares if you listen to when you buy it or if you listen to it a week earlier on your computer/MP3 player/ burnt CD.
My CD player in my car doesn't work...so i wouldn't even be able to listen to it when i got it, i'd have to wait til i got home.
I downloaded heathen chemistry and HATED it (the track list was screwed up, and the album didn't flow)
then the CD came out and i LOVED it played it all summer long w/ my friends.
So yes, i will download it.then i will buy it.

Well, I'll try to wait but I'll probably give in. In fact I already have given in, in a way, I mean I hadn't heard A Bell Will Ring, Meaning of Soul and Let there be love and only downloaded them after I found out that htey were going to be on the album.

i know its against the rules but my mate whose in a band has got it on CD from god knows where so if I dont listen to it today i will by wednesday.
He said he's listened to it and it is definately oasis back at there best.

He's actually the singer of a band. I wont name them but I can trust him.
He has a lot of connections. I've been drinking with Carl Barat with him so I know he aint bullshitting about that.
But i suppose i'll have to wait.
P.S: dont bother posting all this 'I dont believe you' bullshit. Coz I dont really care....

Yeah, i can't wait to hear it on the radio. I don't understand why Oasis just doesn't release the single at the same time they give it to the radio stations. It would drastically increase their single sales and prevent more people from downloading the single without buying it. (I am still buying it anyway but their are people out there who will not). |

I want to hear it as soon as possible but still be left with the event of buying the cd and playing it from start to finish at home through my cd player. Just being greedy and wanting both to be honest. |

I was conviced I was going to the download the album when it leaks, but I decided not to thanks to that Mucky Fingers thread.
It's been what, 3 years? What's a few more weeks (or maybe a few extra days)?
When I get DBTT I will hear it exactly like the band wants us to hear it, not a possibly unfinished version or without the same track order. If it turns out the leaked was exactly the same as the album then so be it, but I'm not willing to risk it.
I also realize I'll have to stop visiting here until the album comes out officially. ;D
